winthecup
Huge difference between aloud.. and 'allowed'. apparently being too loud at Rogers is frowned upon based on a few reports from last season I heard about.
-Stammer-
players feed from the crowd and if we're not allowed to cheer loud that's a problem. Look at the Jays for example

theminister
It's not true. Likely they were standing in people's seats and wouldn't move or they snuck into the Club section and were told to leave.
DarthMelvin
Apparently a new rule , we aren't aloud to watch warm ups from ice level anymore, my friend was watching warm ups, and security came up and grabbed her ticket out of her hand saying she isnt aloud watching warm up or isnt aloud cheering and the host was also treating her like crap and the canucks want to try winning fans back with this kinda crap? Were the ones who put a roof over your head and a meal on your table , this is what is bad for business So.... most likely your friend got removed for an actual reason.... we are not siding with your girlfriend lol. Nice try though. CDC
Baggins
Well that's good to know. Some pompous security guard trying to look good on his first day? Or perhaps the friend isn't telling the whole story.
Brouhaha
At the game vs the Sharks me and my buddy went down to ice level and the lady said we're more than welcome.
GiveEmTheCan
At the Flames game the other day, I tried to watch the players warm up in the lower bowl. Shortly soon after, an usher came and discreetly took me to a secluded back room where I was subsequently bound and beaten for the duration of the first period. Later, while using the restroom, Linden and Benning entered, locking the doors behind them. They then proceeded to emotionally assault and berate me using well-researched taunts relating to very specific traumas that I had endured in my childhood. SergioMomesso
No way in hell they would stop that from happening. That is one of the highlites of going to a game. Not pointing fingers here but something else went down.
Monty
Not 'aloud' to? Can we quietly stand at ice level? I mean, can we continue to quietly stand at ice level?

Mcfly
Sometimes it's not about policies and such. Sometimes people that work at GM place don't have the eloquence or subtle manner in communicating why something is the way it is. Easily put, maybe the guy who talked to you, was just a dumbo. It could easily have been that your section or people around you were distracting players. I know that sounds silly, since it's considered premier time to be able to talk to them... Especially if you are kids. ...these guys (players) have more important things on their mind in that moment though. So if there are people yelling at times where these guys are supposed to be focused, then expect a visit from the mall cops. It's their job. ...And yeah, GM place can be a bummer in terms of "rules for cheering", I agree. I pay too much to be told to quiet down and behave at a game. Then again, there are rules for reasons. I stay home, because we will never have an arena like the Mad House, and that's because our audience is more family oriented.

Fanaholic
I don't know what happened but I have a feeling something really bad happened or the staff member was having a really bad day. I often go along the boards for warmup and don't crazily bang on the glass but might bang it some and nobody has ever said anything to me. It really is just a friendly way of saying hi to players that mean a lot to you. Sometimes players have shot the puck at the boards where I am standing at what feels like "200 miles an hour" as their way of saying hi and glad you are here. Like what is the big deal if a fan does bang on the glass? OMG, pretty soon you won't even be able to talk in the arena. We don't have to worry about cheering because nobody does during the regular season except for me of course! Well, there are a few that do cheer, but very few. This building sucks big time compared to a lot of other buildings that I have been in and this organization needs to get a grip on reality. PLAYERS feed off of the noise that their fans make. Ask them if you don't believe me because I have asked them.

The Colt 45s
I have been going up to Dallas for fifteen years to watch the Canucks play. If you are wearing a Canucks sweater, the ushers actually invite you to go down behind the bench to watch the warm up and stand around the tunnel.
