Virt is the wrong kind of player to play with the twins. The experimenting should be mostly over, put Burr up there and ;let them get their game going.

What is Virtanen doing here then? If he can't play with the Sedins, and Vrbata is already 2RW, where does he fit in. Unlike Horvat he can't start on the fourth and hope he moves on, his defensive IQ is pretty far from Horvat as a rookie.

It's either top 6 or junior for him IMO.

His D game is fine. It's not great, but it is good enough to play the 3rd or 4th with good defensive guys.

He is fast as hell and hits a lot. Why can't that be good on the 3rd?

The good thing about Jake is he can fit in on damn near any line.

It isn't top 6 or bust.

not at all, Virt has a skill set that allows him to play up and down the lineup. If he sticks, he'll likely start on the 4th line.

Agreed. I don't think he is someone suited to a cycle game, but hopefully he can surprise me. It should be interesting to see him play with the Sedins. They should be able to set him up for some good looks.
