When Vrbata was right open back door and Higgins tried a shot in a 3-1 game cause of his typical selfishness.... Simply the guy needs to go. Could have given Vrbata the hattrick and instilled that extra confidence in him but no.... had to try a useless Higgins wet noodle shot.

... Anyone that's played hockey knows why Higgins shot. He saw an opening and thought he could make it 4-1. Higgy is one of the more unselfish players out there. Vrby has had many chances to set others up but he always shoots. That's his game. So is it Higgins when he sees an opening he thinks he can snipe.

Both guys played really well for us tonight. Vrby has been snake bitten, he's still a dangerous sniper. Both goals, post and in.

Miller made some big saves when he had to.

We got lucky they didn't score at the end there. That makes up for all the bad luck and bad bounces... Its a long season. Good game all in all.

Bo and Jake haven't been great... I'm confident both will get the spark and elevate their game but not sure how long it'll take.

Anyone that's played hockey and is paid millions for it should at least attempt to setup their teammate for the hattrick when they're wide open.... That shot was not beating the goalie... He simply parried it away like it was nothing. When your teammate is struggling to score, and you're up two goals, you try the pass there... Every time. Especially if you're terrible at shooting the puck

Higgy is not terrible at shooting... He's not been that productive but still has a 0.143 shooting percentage... Any player with over 10% is generally not considered terrible at shooting the puck.

Maybe he didn't see vrby open or maybe he thought he could score and had an opening. You're over sanalyzing one play On a guy who has bbeen great since coming from injury

Higgins and 'Great' doesn't fit, sorry. He is absolutely useless and the most frustrating player to watch in the NHL. I will be cheering in the streets when his contract runs out or he is traded.

So this is what the whiners choose to complain about after a win. You can't whine about the loss, so you get mad a player for taking a SHOT in a high percentage area. What fantastic fan you are.

I agree and I believe at the second intermission McCann was interviewed saying that the plan in the third and for the game was to keep the play moving forward and continue taking shots.  Higgins was following the game plan is all.

It was Miller time tonight! Looks like he just a solid rest does him good.

Our D is still transitioning poorly, we have to score 3 goals a game to have a chance to win. No quick fixes on D, just keep the program going and hopefully we snag another Hutton in this years draft!

2016 NHL Draft will be Jim Bennings Best draft quote me on it.. this is the year he makes us, and brings in Lucic I hope we can get Churchryn

Edit: And hopefully not by sucking but trading down picks

Snipers most of them will take the shot, Bure, Courtnal, etc each had great shots and they took the shots more often than passing.

Nonsense...!

Higgins had a legit shot there...I don't know how long you've been following the team, but Higgins is far from a selfish player.
