Protecting the starter's stats - if the team has thrown in the towel,...is something that's expected. Marky getting a few in-game touches & minutes after some time-off is okay too. After the first line there is no credible secondary scoring threat. On D, the Canucks do not have a legitimate top 4. To have a legit top 4 they would need a guy to slot in a #1 or #2 with Tanev and Hammer sliding down to 3 and 4. And Miller is no more than an average NHL goalie at present.
