Odd.
Very curious to see which player many of you guys would want if we do get a top 5 pick in this upcoming draft. With our play right now, it's looking like were not going to be a playoff team but hey it's still early. The ones going top 5 are most likely (not in any particular order): Auston Matthews Jacob Chychrun Jesse Puljujärvi Matthew Tkachuk Jake Bean maybe. I have a feeling Chychrun will drop somewhere between 4th-6th overall just like what happened to Noah Hanifin. Obviously, if Matthews is still around (although he's most likely going 1st overall), you wouldn't pass him up for sure as he's a franchise centerman in the making. Knowing that we will most likely not get the first overall, if either Bean/Chychrun are still up, I'd grab one of them (Chychrun preferably). Again this is pure speculation. Bissurnette
Chychrun, if he's already snatched up then one of Tkachuk or Jake Bean and hope they reach their potential
Warhippy
We trade vets for extra 1st and 2nd round picks. We use the picks plus whatever assets we have left on the roster to do something smart. Draft top 5? Matthews or Chychrun. Barring that one of Puljujarvi or Laine because our RW depth is dismal. Take an extra 1st + asset (pick or player) move in to top 15, draft Fabbro or Juolevi. Should he still remainand we have the pick to grab him Sean Day Blue line set for a decade. Honestly, as long as we take 2 or 3 defensemen in the first 2 ish rounds I'll be happy
thejazz97
I'd say move down for Fabbro. If that's not an option, Chychrun.
BanTSN
Trading down for Fabbro would prove to be ultra-brave or ultra-foolish.

Tavrohorvat53
Bean in top 5? Yeah that's not gonna happen. I see him mid to late first rounder obviously Mathews, Pulijsrvi, Laine, chycrun, joulevi in that order notables: Nylander , Tchakuk

DeltaSwede
You always pick the best player available no matter what. However, I can say that I am hoping the Canucks weigh heavier towards defense this draft, got some fantastic talents in the first round. If the season ends up a failure and they draft high, I really hope that isn't the only pick they make in the first round. I predict the Canucks picking between 6th and 10th, and I'd go after Fabbro, the fans would love it and he is a cracking prospect. Hopefully they will have a later pick in the draft and how perfect wouldn't it be if they picked up Jost with it with a pick in the 21-25 region. Benning loves guys with a heavy shot and Jost has arguably got the best snipe on him in this years crop. If they pick in the top 5 though? 1. Matthews, 2. Chychrun. 3. Tkachuk 4. Puljujärvi, 5. Laine in that order.

flickyoursedin
I really like Bellows and Bean but those guys are mocked more in the teens spot if you picked Bellows at 4 you'll have gone full Boston on this draft lol.
