DownUndaCanuck
If we don't have the #1 pick which we probably won't, defenceman all the way. Bean/Day/Chychrun with a top-5 pick, send them back to junior for a year, fill our D with UFAs and then see how he goes the following season as a 19-20 year old. If we draft a lefty, have Sbisa play the right side next season to try and even out our pairings.

Blueberries
I would still go with Chychrun. Matthews has been excellent so it would incredibly difficult to pass on him. Right now it's Chychrun but in a month or 2 it might become Matthews.

stawns
right now, it's a three man race for top pick, imo.......Matthews, Pulajarvi and Laine. The two Finns are very very good, and huge.
Gstank29
This is definitely a clear cut top 3 this year. Laine and Pulijijarvi are Definitely just as dynamic as Matthews

CANUCK-EXPRESS
Puljujarvi is creeping in as number one for me. Not quite though. 1: Matthews 2:Puljujarvi 3:Laine 4:Thachuk 5:Chychrun Oh how I wish we get a top 5 pick this year. Would really help our rebuild or retool or whatever phase were on quicker. Down by the River
Not all that impressed with Tkachuk. Not enough skill for a top 5. Mathews Puljujarvi Laine Chychrun Olli Juolevi
ReggieBush
Rather trade down draft fabbro but if I have to pick one, I'd go with Jesse Pulijarvi
MoneypuckOverlord
easily Austin Mathews. At this point it looks like Chycrun might have plateaued a little. He might end up more of a Ryan Murray, Adam Larrson instread of Ekblad, Seth Jones Level. It be 1 Austin Mathews, 2 Puljuljarvi 3 Laine 4 Chycrun 5 Tkatchuk. aGENT
If we manage top 5: Mathews Puljujarvi Laine Chychrun Tkachuck ...in that order (though Laine/Chych could flip). From there I hope we pick up some late 1st's/2nd's and draft 2-3 of: Fabbro, McAvoy, Bean, Day etc. If we somehow either end up with or gain some mid 1sts... Sergachyov, Juolevi etc would be nice as well.
cripplereh
me best D in the draft I would try and get as we are hurting bad at D and need a couple young studs there to go forward!
Pears
Chychrun would be my first choice followed by Puljujärvi or Laine. Getting Fabbro or Juolevi as well would be lovely too.
CanuckinEdm
we honestly need both forwards and defense in the top 5 you have to go with BPA, 15+ you go with a dman.
Frazzy Desjardins
We need D. OFFENSIVE D. the size stigma is overrated, I know this isn't the east, but an Erik Karlsson type player is gooD on ANY team! If the WJs are any indication, I'd like Laine. Edit::: unless we get first overall.
Bang Bang Boogie
Any of the top 5 looks good: Matthews, Chychrun, Laine, Puljujarvi, Juolevi
Noble 6
1) Mathews 2) Puljujaarvi 3) Chychrun 4) Laine 5) Tkachuk In that order.

We use the picks plus whatever assets we have left on the roster to do something smart. Draft top 5? Matthews or Chychrun. Barring that one of Puljujarvi or Laine because our RW depth is dismal. Take an extra 1st + asset (pick or player) move in to top 15, draft Fabbro or Juolevi. Should he still remainand we have the pick to grab him Sean Day Blue line set for a decade. Honestly, as long as we take 2 or 3 defensemen in the first 2 ish rounds I'll be happy Boeser and Virtanen?
