Since then he's become their workhorse starter. His save % of .916 is better than Ryan Miller's .909. His GAA of 2.37 is quite a bit better than Ryan Miller's 2.74. His 3 shutouts in his first 26 starts is quite a bit better than Ryan Miller's 1 in his 1st 28 starts. His w/l record (not a decent goalie stat, but some on here seem to place some credence in it) of 14-10-2 is better than Miller's 10-11-6 (all stats from hockey-reference.com as of the time of this posting.) Jones has played 61 NHL games with a GAA of 2.16, a save % of .920 and 10 shutouts. Why would Doug Wilson want to pay twice as much for Miller?
