Boddy604
http://blogs.theprovince.com/2016/01/27/the-provies-the-most-dramatic-jannik-hansen-mic-drop-yet-and-the-most-controversial-pick-for-a-greatest-ever/ this article is just pretty all around great. talks about Hansen's little flip out (in case you missed it) and a rundown of the game. Most importantly though (and why I posted this in Trades and Rumours) is that the Montreal Canadiens had 5 scouts at the Nucks-Preds game. It's normal for there to be one or two. 5 though... Including Marc Bergevin himself. That's a pretty big audience from across the country to just be catching a Canucks game. Sure, maybe they were there for Nashville but Montreal needs offense and Nashville could use more. I'd lean towards they were here for the Canucks. Edler and Vrbata would be lucky to get us much more than a 1st and 2nd, nevermind Hamonic AND Martin. Hamhuis is more like a 2nd & 4th or 5th. timberz21
Can we trade Vrbata to Hockey Canada? Actually that why Bergevin was there, there is a Hockey Canada meeting soon for the World Cup and Bergevin is part of the team.

Guest
Nashville has been pretty public about staying in the trade market, looking to add more offense. It would make far more sense that those scouts are there looking at Nashville than the Nucks.

The Ducks and Penguins just traded Hagelin and Perron - Hagelin has 4pts in 5 games, and Perron has 5pts in 4 games. Sometimes swapping players gives both teams a boost. Look at the Johansen-Jones trade too, both are flourishing and contributing far more than the other player was before.
Canorth
Maybe they need some solid veteran goaltending since it doesn't look like Price is coming back anytime soon.If they can find someone with experience to stabilize the back end, they could be back in it. Deal with the "controversy" in the summer when Price has healed up
hatrix
I wonder if Vrbata knew that they were there and hence didn't put any effort yesterday night with multiple lazy passes (such as the last power play when he held the puck in and just weakly threw it back in to nobody, resulting in a turnover and effectively wasted the whole min of pp). I wouldn't be surprised that he plays better after the trade deadline. It's a pain to watch him on the ice. Hopefully somebody will take him.
