Montreal is definitely interested in a Canuck

Of course they were, but they also might be looking at a few different players on either team in the game. If they werent doing scouting on a certain player I would hope they dont get to attend the game for free just because.

I would love to be a scout, yes your on the road, but you get to watch hockey and get paid a decent salary for doing it. No clue how you even start getting into that line of work.

Yeah. I'm not athletic, perhaps I can get my foot in the door as a video archiver? lol!

I don't think they attended "Just because"; However, I'm not convinced they had a specific player in mind to come out and watch. I'm guessing that they're out here for the prospects game, but since Montreal is having a rough go right now, they also decided to attend the game to see if they could find anyone who might be a fit.

It would almost be irresponsible for a team that is struggling so much not to go and see potential trade partners live.

Why would the Habs be after Vrbata? They're worse than the Leafs at this point, and have been since Price went down on Dec. 2nd. An older veteran isn't going to turn them around at this point. Carey Price is the only one who will do that, if and when he gets back in, and that could be for a while longer.

Nice how it seems all Cdn franchises are reduced to shufflin' deck chairs on that famous ship. No PO's for Cdn towns, who contribute the lion's share of league rev. How many Cdn dollars precisely go to subsidizing their half-empty bldgs in sub-tropical locales?

We've had a religion stolen here. Bettman must laugh at the gullibility, as he perpetually rapes the golden goose.

& our Xmas is supposedly TDL or DD? Let's get excited over another pick or 19 yr old.

This league has become a joke.

With the dollar at 70 cents....a half empty building in the Southern USA isn't much different than a full one in Canada.

Ummm...CHL Prospects game is in town. Very likely every GM and a lot of scouts are in Vancouver. My guess is, he came out early to get a break from Montreal (I know I'd need a few vacations from their media) and took in a game. I could see them wanting a big centre. I wonder if he was eyeing up Horvat or Sutter and maybe dangling Galchenyuk out there.

I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with. I said that they were probably here for the prospects game. I then went on to say that they still probably had motive to go to a Canucks game to scout possible trade prospects. The bolded part "I don't think they attended "just because"" Means that I didn't think they were going to a game just for the sake of going to a game.

Bergevin did a press conference saying teams have been calling about Galchenyuk but he is not available

That's a pile of rubbish. These past two decades the Cdn fan has been exploited for every nickel they can get their hands on.

Personally, would rather they'd formed another league(WHA style), than have to endure looking at Bettman's scowl for another second.

It's a rigged casino..period.
