CanucksJay
2016 deadline To Wash:Hansen + Hamhuis (cap retained) + Columbus 2nd + Vancouver 3rd To Van : Bowie + Vrana + 2nd Washington going all in. Gets Hansen during his prime years at a great contract and gets a solid top 4 dman (Hamhuis) for cup run. Canucks get a potential top pairing D prospect and a potential top 6 winger. Swapping 2nds gives Vancouver another 2nd rounder this year as Columbus will likely push the draft due to their high draft position this year To Fla : Vrbata + Subban To Van : Matheson Florida adds scoring for this playoffs and eases the blow of losing Matheson by adding a D prospect with good family pedigree. Vancouver attains another potential top pairing D prospect while losing one that is performing well but has higher risk of failure. Van also upgrades in size. To Tampa: Edler, McCann To Van: Drouin + 1st Tampa gets a solid top 4 D-man and one of Van's top prospects. Edler has good chance of waiving to play with former teammates ohlund and garrison and national fellow Hedman. Vancouver gets a bonafide game changer top 6 prospect and a 1st rounder in a deep draft. Ryan Miller for a 2nd Higgins for a 7th Prust for a 5th Keep Burrows and try to increase his value this year and next year and then retain cap and trade him at next year's trade deadline. This is a stealth tank with excitement. With the porous D (losing Hamhuis and Edler) and Miller, we will end up picking top 3 Go into the draft with 2 firsts and 3 seconds. Use first pick on Matthews, Tkatchuk or one of the Finns. Use the lower first and 2 seconds to move up to Chychrun. Sign one of the big UFA D-man (Yandle , Buf) this summer and re-sign Hamhuis again at a slight discount. Next year Sedin Sedin Burrows Drouin Sutter Etem Baerstchi Horvat Shinkauruk Gaunce Vey Dorsett Yandle Tanev Hamhuis Sbisa Biega Pedan Markstrom Utica loses Shink, Gaunce, Pedan but gains Virtanen, Vrana, Boesser, Demko, Bowie and Matheson Keep Burrows and try to increase his value this year and next year and then retain cap and trade him at next year's trade deadline. (do this by playing him with the Sedins) We'll prob finish near the bottom again as it's quite a young roster. Trade Burrows with retained cap and Dorsett for more draft picks. Use high pick for BPA. Sign another big UFA. 2017 season is when it gets very exciting. Our team between Vancouver and Utica will have Veterans (over 25): Sedin, Sedin, Sutter, Tanev, Yandle/Buf, Hamhuis, Sbisa, Markstrom, Biega. (besides the Sedins, the rest will be in their high 20s), 2017 UFA signing) Under 25: Drouin, Horvat, Baerstchi, Virtanen, Vrana, Bowie, Matheson, Hutton (Tkatchuk/Matthews/Finn) Shinkauruk, Zalewski, Grenier, Pedan, Boesser, Demko, Chychrun, Cassels, (2017 first rounder) This gives us a lot of options to buy at the deadline as we obviously don't have room for all of the youngsters. We will also have tons of cap space to spend on free agency.
coastal.view
complete fantasy even managing one of those trades would be a significant accomplishment
cripplereh
To much of that just won't happen and anyone could have had Higgins, prust,Weber for free,so in short that is just a dream and will never happen

Gets Hansen during his prime years at a great contract and gets a solid top 4 dman (Hamhuis) for cup run. Canucks get a potential top pairing D prospect and a potential top 6 winger. Swapping 2nds gives Vancouver another 2nd rounder this year as Columbus will likely push the draft due to their high draft position this year To Fla : Vrbata + Subban + Hansen.........might need to retain a little To Van : Matheson + 2016- 3rd turns into a 2nd if Florida wins the ECF Florida adds scoring for this playoffs and eases the blow of losing Matheson by adding a D prospect with good family pedigree. Vancouver attains another potential top pairing D prospect while losing one that is performing well but has higher risk of failure. Van also upgrades in size. Good frame work, but I am not sure mine is even enough? To Tampa: Edler, McCann + Briscois (Spelling?) + plus??? To Van: Drouin + 1st Tampa gets a solid top 4 D-man and one of Van's top prospects. Edler has good chance of waiving to play with former teammates ohlund and garrison and national fellow Hedman. Don't disagree Vancouver gets a bonafide game changer top 6 prospect and a 1st rounder in a deep draft. Ryan Miller for a 2016 - 2nd.............If KB can get a 2nd, Miller can too! Buy Columbus's 2016 - 2nd (We own a 2nd from them in 1 of the next 3 years) Give them our 2016 - 4th rounder Higgins for a 7th Prust for a 5th Keep Burrows and try to increase his value this year and next year and then retain cap and trade him at next year's trade deadline. This is a stealth tank with excitement. With the porous D (losing Hamhuis and Edler) and Miller, we will end up picking top 3 Probably, not guaranteed Go into the draft with 2 firsts and 3 seconds. Now we have Van's 2016 - 1st, Florida's 2016 - 1st,Columbus's 2016 - 2nd, Vancouver's 2016 - 2nd, Miller's 2016 -2nd, Washington's 2016 - 2nd, Florida's 2016 - 3rd...............now we have ......2 - 1st, 4 - 2nds - Use first pick on Matthews, Tkatchuk or one of the Finns. This is where you pick Chychrun if you do not get your choice - Use the lower first and 2 seconds to move up to Chychrun. .................Not going to happen Sign one of the big UFA D-man (Yandle Hopefully , Buf Too Much) this summer and re-sign Hamhuis again at a slight discount.....Yes Next year Sedin Sedin Burrows Drouin Sutter Etem Baerstchi Horvat Shinkauruk Gaunce Vey Dorsett Yandle Tanev Hamhuis Sbisa Biega Pedan Markstrom Utica loses Shink, Gaunce, Pedan but gains Virtanen, Vrana, Boesser, Demko, Bowie and Matheson Keep Burrows and try to increase his value this year and next year and then retain cap and trade him at next year's trade deadline. (do this by playing him with the Sedins) We'll prob finish near the bottom again as it's quite a young roster. Yes for sure! Under 25: Drouin, Horvat, Baerstchi, Virtanen, Vrana, Bowie, Matheson, Hutton (Tkatchuk/Matthews/Finn) Shinkauruk, Zalewski, Grenier, Pedan, Boesser, Demko, Chychrun, Cassels, (2017 first rounder) You don't know yet! But don't forget all your other 2016 picks you got..............and yes we will be a lot better in the future......not so good in the present, although I would much rather watch the kids try, then the vets mail it in! This gives us a lot of options to buy at the deadline as we obviously don't have room for all of the youngsters. We will also have tons of cap space to spend on free agency. Not too sure about that! Don't pay too much attention to Coastal......he goes Postal all the time. But ok, I am always in for some fun............ There are some things to consider..........I will make some suggested changes Not bad for a day dream........you should have seen my idea! Hmmmm, maybe you are! Still fun! Now everyone is going to get all serious!

Not saying that those are the depth players they would be looking for, however the tunes of other teams could change come TDL and they may view a Higgins or Prust as good bench material (or deadwood). elvis15
All of that, and somehow we lose Hutton from our roster? Yeah, I don't think most of them are likely or proper value.
Noble 6
My transition plan would look something like this: 2016 Trade Deadline: Vrbata (50% retained) for a 2nd Higgins for a 6th 2016 Draft: Our pick is at 10-15 overall. We take the best available defenseman; Sergachyov, Juloevi, Fabbro or Bean. 2016 Free Agency: Resign Hamhuis: 3-years, 2.75 million per Baertschi: 2-years, 2.5 million per Etem: 3-years, 1.25 million per Vey: 1-years, 1.25 million Cracknell: 2-years, 800,000 per Sign: Demers/Russell: 4-years, 4.5 million per Cap Space: 2.95 million 2016-17 Lineup: Sedin - Sedin - Sutter Baertschi - Horvat - Hansen Burrows - Vey - Etem Gaunce - Cracknell - Dorsett Grenier, Zalewski Edler - Tanev Hamhuis - Demers/Russell Hutton - Sbisa Pedan, Biega Markstrom Miller Shinkaurik, McCann and Virtanen all start the year in Utica. Shinkaurik is the 1st call up option. McCann adds strength and learns to play against men. Virtanen works on his play away from the puck. 2017 Trade Deadline: Trade Miller (50% retained) + a 3rd for an A defense prospect + a 2nd. There will probably be a contender that loses its goalie to injury and would be willing to pay. 2017 Draft: Draft the best player available. Trade Dorsett for a 5th 2017 Free Agency: Resign: Horvat: 5-years, 5 million per Markstrom: 4-years, 4.75 million per Hutton: 5-years, 4.75 million per Sign: Boeser Cap Space: 6.19 million 2018 Lineup: Sedin - Sedin - Sutter Baertschi - Horvat - Boeser Shinkaurik - McCann - Virtanen Etem - Cracknell - Hansen Gaunce Edler - Tanev Hutton - Demers/Russell Hamhuis - Sbisa Pedan, Biega Markstrom Demko 2018 Trade Deadline: No moves. 2018 Draft: Draft BPA. 2018 Offseason: Resign: H. Vancouver is stuck with him, he has negative value. Higgins and Prust was available for simply taking on their cap hit, and no one bit. Again, they have negative value due to their continuing cap hits.
