Jaku
Alex Ovechkin joins a very select few players with tonight's goal. He, Wayne Gretzky, and Mike Gartner are the only players to score at least 30 goals in each of their first 11 years. Here's the article. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/954873

Kanucklehead10
Its going to be sad for the NHL when Ovie and Crosby retire. Hopefully hype becomes reality and McDavid and Eichel become as great as these two players.
Dr.Strangelove
Greatest goalscorer of all time imo

mpt
Lemieux did it to except for the two years he only played 26 and 22 games, which he was well over pace for
Apple Juice
Probably the purest goal scorer the NHL has ever seen.

I think that goes to Brett Hull; Hull did nothing except score goals, Ovie brings more to his game than goal scoring
Gurn
I nominate Mike Bossy as the greatest pure scorer, but Ovie is one hack of second choice
Blueberries
Best goal scorer ever. Most won't admit it because he isn't Canadian.

SaintPatrick33
Best pure goal scorer in history on a canucks forum, and not ONE of you picked Bure? The guy was potting 50 goal seasons on one knee!!! give me a break! BURE best pure goal scorer ever
Jägermeister
Bossy, Hull, Ovie. Order it how'd you like, those are the top 3 pure goal scorers hockey has seen.
HC20.0
Never been a huge fan of Ovechkin, but I have a lot of respect for the guy. One of the greatest goal scorers to ever play the game, especially in an era where goals are hard to come by. Imagine if he played in the 80's. He could have gotten 80+ easy. If Bure's knee hadn't blown out on him, he would've easily have potted 200-300 more goals before he retired. I think Bure was a better goal scorer then Ovie for sure, but Ovechkin is easily the greatest goal scorer of his generation. One of the best goal scorers to play the game even. Dude is a legend in his own right.
