Was she incorrect in saying that the house managers in their 21 hours mentioned Biden and/or Burisma over 300 times ? Seems like they thought it was relevant

please tell me you see a problem here.

HerrDrFunk said it absolutely right. It was my immediate thought when she made her comment.

I would imagine most of those 300+ mentions were in regards to Trump's motives for abusing his power. Nice try though.

So wouldn't a relevant defence of those ‘motives for abusing power’ include talking about Burisma/Biden .. as she is doing

It is laughable that the Senate is not wanting to bring forth new witnesses (not doing House job for them).  But they conveniently forget that it is the President (White House) that blocked/prevented/obstructed some of the key witnesses from testifying in the first place.

Ah, come on now, we both know you don't really believe that.

I don’t think they forgot, they just recognize that he was utilizing his rights for due process, and the subpoenas were invalid. Besides they haven’t even voted on witnesses yet, I don't think, so we’ll see what happens theres always a few snakes.

Rather mind-blowing, isn't it? :frantic:

Who's raging? I was just pointing out that you're smarter than the people who are buying what Bondi is selling.

only for a tv audience.

If there was belief of a crime being committed Trump had the justice department at his disposal. Instead he had Giuliani running around making deals with thugs.

The defence are not even halfway through their time yet so plenty of

Opportunity

to draw conclusions
i only commented on the Biden bit today since i was guessing with that other poster last week that it would be brought up, which it has been

and yes Jim it makes for good tv in the court of public opinion.

Ive heard that he had the ghoul on the case because the DOJ and FBI at the time (possibly still) was infested with Obama/Clinton/Soros/JT communist fascist socialist acolytes who were responsible for all global corruption and child sex trafficking.

Again thats just what I have heard from de Lancie's alter ego so cant say for sure if its legit.

Another little disingenuous bit that the GOP is throwing around is that Impeachment "takes the decision out of the hands of the voters"....2 things on that:

1 - If we want it to be left in the hands of the voters, we owe it to them to give them as much information as possible, so they can make an informed decision. That means witnesses. Bolton especially. Further to that point, 2/3rds of voters say that they want to hear witness testimony. Unfortunately, the wishes of American voters mean nothing to Moscow Mitch.

2 - Even if the impossible happened and the Senate aligned with the facts and not party affiliation, leading to the conviction and removal of Donald Trump, AFAIK, there's no prohibition to his running again in November, provided he win the GOP nomination. Technically, the voters would have their say...

Looks like the Trump administration has a new media outlet to add to the "Fake News!" list.....

....that extreme, far left organization, NPR:

https://time.com/5772974/state-dept-pompeo-interview-npr-ban/

Quote

(WASHINGTON) — The State Department has denied a National Public Radio reporter a seat aboard Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s plane for an upcoming trip to Europe and Central Asia, the decision coming a few days after Pompeo lashed out at another NPR reporter.

NPR said in a statement Monday that correspondent Michele Kelemen wasn’t given a reason for being barred from the flight. The State Department declined to comment.

The State Department Correspondents’ Association said the decision to deny Kelemen a seat on Pompeo’s plane led it to conclude that “the State Department is retaliating” against NPR. The group asked the agency to reconsider and allow Kelemen to join Pompeo.

In an interview Friday, Pompeo responded testily when NPR reporter Mary Louise Kelly asked him about Ukraine and, specifically, whether he defended or should have defended Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador in Kyiv whose ouster figured in President Donald Trump’s impeachment.

Kelly said that after the NPR interview she was taken to Pompeo’s private living room, where he shouted at her “for about the same amount of time as the interview itself” and cursed repeatedly. Pompeo responded Saturday that Kelly had “lied” to him, and he called her conduct “shameful.” NPR said it stood by Kelly’s reporting.

In its statement Monday, the correspondents’ group said Kelemen “is a consummate professional who has covered the State Department for nearly two decades. We respectfully ask the State Department to reconsider and allow Michele to travel on the plane for this trip.”

Ben Wizner, director of the Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project for the American Civil Liberties Union, said in a statement: “The State Department cannot retaliate against a news outlet because one of its reporters asked tough questions. It is the job of reporters to ask the tough questions, not be polite company.”

Looks like Teflon Don isn't the only one in this administration who would like to whittle the press corps down, until Faux News is the only one left standing....looks like his Consigliere, Mikey the Mouse feels the same.....

Nothing says your innocent like hiding from investigators and refusing to clear your name. That, or you scared you'll end up like Epstein if you are seen cooperating. Prince Andrew has tucked tail and ran.

Oh, and now Rudy is being regarded as nothing more than a coffee boy and "not a major player" in the Trump administration. Talk about being fed to the wolves. The smart ones jumped that sinking ship months ago when it was apparent that's how loyalty is being rewarded.
