CBH made a point earlier about "labels" and I think it's important to underscore.

A certain poster from Alberta likes to label every poster he disagrees with as "far left", (he has called me that several times) but I just think you sound silly when you say things like that.

Hardly anyone is "far left" or "far right". Most of us have issues we support on both sides of the spectrum, making most of us more or less centrists. In the final analysis, it's more a case of which way we "lean".

I have no problem whatsoever with admitting that I am "left leaning", but when we start labeling anyone with opposing views "far" anything, we've succeeding in ensuring that what might be a relatively small gulf, will never be bridged.

I don’t think Zimmerman is even white since his mother is Peruvian but how is that term not racist?

If you are followed home by a black person and you refer to him as a n...... in a phone call do you think people will say you were not a racist?

You’re not that same moronic poster who put up a link to his 401k before are you? It wouldn’t surprise me. Your Furher must be proud of your simplistic and myopic subordination.

No my Furher is not, but he’s not technically mine. He broke my heart when he wore blackface with a banana shirt on :picard:

Again some folks might choose to vote for him purely for reasons of business. He won over a lot of small business owners with his tax reform for them specifically.

A lot of voters silo and compartmentalize their feelings about political leaders if they see personal benefit and financial growth from that political leader. The pill is easier to swallow when they make more money.

I can’t. All I can do is reiterate what I said before. People will tend to put their personal beliefs on hold when they stand to benefit financially. It’s proven over and over again.

Drumpf is nothing more than an opportunist that does whatever will enrich him first.

The establishment is the problem as much as the megalomaniac. While the GOP is a vile political organization that’s compromised completely, the DNC isn’t really that much different. They’re both horribly partisan.

People have to demand larger changes than just moving a goalpost once every few years. The establishment on both sides wants to keep the establishment happy and well fed. Giving more to the average person and taking more from the top doesn’t work for them.

Your last paragraph, we need more parties down here for sure.
Liberal party for Sanders voters, split into regular GOP and something more far right and stronger green or libertarian party.

Two party thing is not doing it for me.

easily the most controversial SNL sketch, but awesome too.  There was a good gif for this, but not appropriate and I don't feel like getting another ban!

The two party system isn’t helping the country at all. For a large democratic country, one would think that more choice would be available.

Sadly, Kang and Kodos seem to hit the nail on the head.

That would be a great social experiment, if nothing else....

I could actually envision a scenario where the Tea Party and Socialists have bled enough support from the center that the Republicans and Democrats would be forced to form a coalition and would have to work together.....

The I'm not a racist, but I play one on CDC group claim not to be racist, yet they come to the rescue of pretty much every racist who faces consequences for their racism. Hmmmmm? Unless there are zero racists on here. What are the odds of that?

Fox News pundit Sean Hannity and his wife of more than 25 years have divorced.

Hannity, 58, and Jill Rhodes, 57, formally ended their marriage more than a year ago, but have kept it quiet until now, according to People magazine.

I'm sure the question on everyone's mind is "why?".......

......"why did it take her 25 years?"....

The vast majority of people in North America love Trump. Fact.

The only places that don’t in concerning numbers are places like Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago and Montreal.

Wait really?

You don't ever leave vanderhoof do ya bud?

I will pay your ticket to mexico to go and seriously suggest the to mexicans.  I will pay your way to Barrie ontario to say that.  Anywhere in Cuba you want to do that?  How about almost 60% of the voting USA

When you make statements like this you out yourself for the ignorant troll you are because only the most deluded, ignorant and stupid person would genuinely believe something like that and then make that statement sure in the fact they genuinely believe it was right

The kind of person who thinks Messier was good for Vancouver.  Or Mike MIlbury was a great GM

Obama stands by the term 'thugs,' White House says

https://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2015/04/29/obama-white-house-baltimore-stephanie-rawlings-blake/26585143/

that's racists, telling criminals that if they steal they are going to get shot?  Remind every texan to take down the sign "If you try to rob us, We don't call 911" from there store because it's racist.  It's actually pretty racist for anyone to state that the rioters and criminals are black.  Why would you do that, it wasn't implied in the tweet, infact trump stated the thugs are taking away from floyds memory.

Except he never said it in that context.

"So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it done"

He said why don't you fix that mess you helped cause in the country came from before you tell us how to live. It's no different than If a failed CEO tried to tell Elon musk that how he's running business is incorrect and Musk called him out on it.

Rioters are not protestors

Obama -  "When individuals get crowbars and start prying open doors to loot, they’re not protesting, they’re not making a statement, they’re stealing. When they burn down a building, they’re committing arson and they’re destroying and undermining businesses and opportunities in their own communities that rob jobs and opportunity from people in that area"

Yep on and on...

Robert Byrd? Oh no, that was the dems..  Here's trumps comments on racism

"Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our Creator. We are equal under the law. And we are equal under our Constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America."

Sounds like the words of a true racist...

And you say i make up evidence to fit my narrative???  I just rejected everything you through out in a span of 5 minutes. The problem is people like you don't actually care about any context in which things are used.  You see the media pick something and you jump on board.  It hinders any ability to think for yourself and logically and leave you stuck with one foot permanently cemented on one side. Maybe your memory isn't as good as you thought, or perhaps your member is based off what others wanted you to think.

I have one question to ask.  If an image ever appeared with trump dressed up in black face, even if he apologized what do you think the outcry would have been? Honestly.

Okay fine I'll bite. But you and I know it will change nothing.

Obama apology

You may be right about this one. I thought I read that he and the mayor walked back the comment but I can't find the article. I'll look for it later. The mayor of Baltimore certainly did. It doesn't change the fact that since then it has become a racially charged term when it comes to refering to black people. Some call it the new n word. There's a ton of articles on the subject, would you like a link? So why use it? Maybe for exactly this reason? Red meat for his base?

For your second point, you are really stretching there. Are you not allowed to bring up issues in the Nation you are a citizen of if you were born somewhere else? Sounds racist af if you ask me.

Third he was threatening the protestors outside the Whitehouse. What were they looting? Do you have any evidence of a riot?

What about all of the other racist comments or tweets I mentioned? You glossed over those I see.

Is Robert Byrd a senior Trump advisor? Try Stephen Miller.

The bottom line is his if you put his statements and his actions together you can only come to one conclusion in my opinion. Yours is obviously different.

Why can’t it be both? That’s the great thing about democracy and freedom is thatthere can be more than 1 perspective on someone. The vast majority of people in North America love Trump. Fact.

Considering the latest polls show his disapproval rating is at an all time high of 54%, that statement is wrong.
