Is the GOP still refusing primary debates?

Cause it something they might want to reconsider, sooner than later.

They got their hand in the cookie jar, underestimating Trump In 2016 was a bad idea.

IMO, there was absolutely nothing to estimate - under or over. Obama said it best... “when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time”

He is a well documented fraud, but a large portion of the US still blindly supports him due to a TV persona...

This isn't a judgement issue, for the GOP, it was/is a calculated risk vs. reward for individual benefit because trump has a grip on the cognitively challenged that are also their constituents.

Party and personal gain VS. Country is the new GOP.

GOP has been always party before country imo.

They also like his brand of politics but he is unpredictable and hard to manage.

As far as his supporters go, they do not care that he lies and they love his vulgarity.

I think starting with basic human decency and caring for other people would be a good start.

Baby steps for them.

Teddy Roosevelt (don't confuse him for his left wing cousin :P) was actually a conservationist *AND* a republican.

So looks like Republicans are starting to finally turn on Trump  and who knows might start helping send a message to maybe change some Republicans minds on how they view Trump.

Mitt Romney now has come out.

Sen. Mitt Romney raises a troubling theory about Trump and Turkey

Sen. Mitt Romney delivered perhaps the most thorough Republican rebuke of President Trump’s Syria withdrawal Thursday, calling Trump’s abandonment of the Kurds there “a bloodstain on the annals of American history.”

But while that line has gotten a lot of play, there’s something else Romney said that shouldn’t escape notice. He suggested Trump got bullied into the withdrawal by Turkey — and that he backed down.

“It’s been … suggested that Turkey may have called America’s bluff, telling the president they are coming no matter what we did,” said Romney, of Utah. “If that’s so, we should know it. For it would tell us a great deal about how we should deal with Turkey, now and in the future.”

"Are we so weak and inept diplomatically that Turkey forced the hand of the United States of America? Turkey!?” Romney said. “I believe that it’s imperative that public hearings are held to answer these questions, and I hope the Senate is able to conduct those hearings next week.”

Romney is elevating an idea that hasn’t gotten enough attention, though it appears to have been confirmed by Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper and Trump himself in the days before Romney’s remarks.

The Washington Post reports that Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Trump copped to this in their contentious Oval Office meeting on Wednesday. Schumer said Trump recalled Erdogan told everyone “we’re going to go in whether you want it or not.”

And now former Ohio Governor John Kasich is in favor of Impeachment.

'Final straw’: GOP ex-Ohio Gov. Kasich supports impeachment

WASHINGTON — Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who ran against President Donald Trump in the 2016 Republican primary, said Friday that he supports impeaching the president — but isn’t ready to call for his removal from office.

Kasich said he decided to back impeachment after hearing acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney acknowledge Thursday that Trump’s decision to hold up military aid to Ukraine was linked to his demand that Ukraine investigate the Democratic National Committee and the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. Mulvaney later claimed his remarks were misconstrued.

“This is an extremely serious matter,” Kasich told The Associated Press in an interview. “I wrestled with it for a very long time.”

It marked a reversal for Kasich, who previously said he hadn’t seen evidence of a quid pro quo on Trump’s part. Congress is conducting an impeachment inquiry sparked by a whistleblower’s allegation that Trump pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to dig up dirt on Trump’s potential 2020 Democratic presidential rival Joe Biden as Trump delayed military aid to the country.

“I can understand why executives would withhold military aid if it was in the sense of public policy, but you don’t withhold military aid to anybody ... for political reasons,” Kasich said.

He first announced his change of heart on CNN on Friday afternoon, calling Mulvaney’s acknowledgement the “final straw” and saying, “The last 24 hours has really forced me to review all of this.”

But because Mitt Romney said what he said, I guess some bots or people on Twitter are calling him a Russian Agent now.

I'm sure TRUMP and his sycophants will screech DEEP STATE in response.  She also testified for hours in the Benghazi witch hunt.   Can't say the same for a number of TRUMP administration officials.
