bp79
I know it's early, but a lot of the prospects in the 15 to 20th range are outperforming some of the higher rated players. Cal Foote seems like he is gonna move up the ranks fast This draft may end up surprising a lot of people who aren't sold on it yet.
MoneypuckOverlord
Harsh words when he said "it's not like he's not a top 5 pick in other drafts" when referring to Nolan Patrick. Kinda speaks for what's available in this draft.
Bure_Pavel
Michael Rasmussen looks like he could be a interesting player, good offense, 6'5 frame, center, and is a BC boy! 8 goals in 7 games to start the year in the WHL.

I am looking at 7 different mocks, the highest hes ranked is 9 to as low as 28, 25th (hockey prospect) 27 (Craig Button) future 28 (future considerations) 9th (ISS) rankings will narrow down as the season goes down, but wouldn't mind adding another BC boy to go to war for Vancouver. Ya I think he will be a riser as the season goes on and will probably go in the 8-20 range in the first round, is suppose to have a solid 2 way game. Warhippy
I think this draft shapes up in to #1 and or #2 Patrick/Lijegren and # 3-30 whoever has the better seasons. it's insane really looking at how much movement could be made.

Seems like one of those (all over the place) draft. Which means it not a very strong draft. bad year to tank. its top 2 or pretty or bust. 2-12 is like the next tier. We might as well just try to make the playoffs, since the 16th pick is possibility as good as the 3rd pick.
stonecoldstevebernier
I hope we can land Yamamoto somehow. He's tiny but we've seen dynamic small guys succeed more frequently in recent years, and he doesn't shy away from the greasy areas either. At the U18's he was almost always at the front of the net whenever the US had a powerplay, I'm hoping he makes the WJC team this year too.
the harry
http://theqmjhl.ca/article/mammoth-night-for-hischier-in-6-4-win The Nico show was in full effect on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Centre in the Mooseheads exciting 6-4 victory over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. Nico Hischier, the sixth overall CHL Import pick, scored his first career hat trick and added three assists to run away with the first star selection. Dickie
Canucks will end up with the 6th overall pick, and draft Virtanen, again. Book it.
Vicky
Unless we are picking 1 or 2, need to go with highest offensive potential - some intriguing players out there early on.

Agreed. I don't care if they are 5' 8". We need to start drafting the highest skill prospects. This has become a speed/skill league. I don't think players like Johnny Gaudreau will be making it to the 3rd round anymore. Could you say Eeli Tolvanen?
Sean Monahan
What about Kailer Yamamoto?
Alflives
This draft is easy. Patrick. If not him, then trade the pick for two seconds in the 2018 draft. Don't waste a high first rounder on any of these other guys.

If you have a top 10 pick you would trade it for 2 2nds in 2018? I think this draft will end up better then what people expect. It's still so early. We get Patrick:)

CanuckMan10
My favorite prospect at the moment. This guy's electric and likely on the rise. Can play C or LW which is a good fit for us right now because our 2 biggest needs are a top line C or LW. All i know is we need to draft someone with elite skill, a potential star and i like Mittelstadt.
