Twilight Sparkle
vancouver guys. i've seen them live a couple of times and they always put on a great show. they have a very early-60's rock influence, with one song on this album giving shout outs to the 13th floor elevators spot the animals influence :3 1 Link to comment

-DLC-
I'm adding Age Of Electric (back together and touring Canada), Headstones and going way back Goddo and Max Webster. Oh, by the way, Canadian music is my favourite. Love this thread. 1 1 Link to comment

-DLC-
OK last post, I promise. Let me set the stage for this. The Hip. Loved them. LOVE them. The guys I went to this concert with early in the day got completely hammered. We went to the pub before the show to play pool and they did not pace themselves. I ditched both of them and went up the road to the show myself. Got front row. Near the end almost got squished to death and one of the green shirted security guys noticed and lifted me over the fence into the space between the stage and the crowd. What a show though. The good old days. Oh Canada. 3 Link to comment
Gurn
I saw Wide Mouth Mason 3 times in about a yr and half. Seemed they opened for everybody. Twice in Victoria and once it was just Shawn Mullins?, as the band had a "wooble", one dude went skiing and the other went home for the birth of a child. Guy put on a reasonable show solo. 1 Link to comment

Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers were the first Canadian group signed by Berry Gordy and Motown records....they were previously known in town as Little Daddy and the Bachelors and included a young Tommy Chong ..before the Cheech days...
