Slegr
I can't believe this guy actually played 81 games for us in 2016/17. He would be so effective for us if he could just stay healthy. Fingers crossed that he gets some luck with that in 2020.

J-P
Think we have to accept that Sutter’s normal status is IR now. So for him the regular status update should not be how close is he is to returning, but rather how close he is to his next injury ;-)

Whatever it is, it needs to be done. To the East. The East would be better for Sutter. His body cannot take the rigours of the West and the extensive travel. Guy needs rest more than most. No way a team takes on more than $10.000MIL in salary for these two. Edited January 16, 2020 by Me_

Robidas Island is where guys go to retire on LTIR. It’s getting full with Leafs, Hawks etc.
kloubek
Sutter actually had a good game for his return. Nice to see him back - our 4th line needs him.
Kanukfanatic
As many posters here have noted, the 4th line has been getting buried lately. They were much better tonight in no small part because of Sutter. He had a very strong game. Edited January 17, 2020 by Kanukfanatic
-AJ-
I find that people forget how good Sutter is while he's out. He's a very smart player and I firmly believe his offensive skills are vastly underrated. He won't put up 50 points, but watch his game closely and you can see how he was a 21-goal scorer twice. I another universe where Sutter was played in an offensive role, I think he could comfortably put up 40-50 points on our second line.

On your second point, I think you could easily rotate Sutter and Erikson on that wing for the second and fourth line, without missing a beat. They both can play the same role, as Beagle takes the faceoffs anyways for the 4th line. This could jump start the 2nd line if it slows down in production in the future.
Boudrias
Sutter has had 2 strong games since his return. Last night against SJ he led his line IMO. Solid game. 1
