Image result for nhl free agent frenzy logo

Young forward Spencer Foo has created a lot of buzz over this short Free Agent Period thus far, teams in the mix or thinking about throwing an offer in should know he will only accept a 3 year deal and is looking to hit a home run!......kids these days

With it looking doubtful that Eberle will re-sign, we felt it necessary to bring in a soild vet to help bridge the gap to our youth and are happy to bring Ales on to help mentor our kids.

Thanks as always to Mike for his hard work.

SIGNING: The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenseman Dennis Seidenberg to a one year deal.

edm.png Dennis Seidenberg: 1 year, $ 3.2 million dollar contract ( $ 3,200,000.00 per season ).

Wahoo! :towel:

Hockey-wise Dennis will be a steadying presence for our young D. It is anticipated he will slot back into our top four. A LHD to play with PMD Jakub Jerabek or Julius Honka.

We are respectful & gracious to have Dennis back for a 2knd year with the Oilers. Last year he was a depth signing for us. And possibly we got a bargain? This might be a touch expensive, but is very fair over the two years! As we had trouble attracting FA's our first few years, Dennis not only landed, but became an important part of our team last year. The boost we received from his performance was the difference between making, and not making the playoffs. Which we did. So we are especially appreciative.

We felt it was important to offer Dennis and his family some continuity, and for us to be a team that takes care of its players.

SIGNING: The Boston Bruins have signed defenseman Johan Auvitu to a two year deal.

bos.png Johan Auvitu: 2 years, $ 1.9 million dollar contract ( $ 950,000.00 per season ).

We were excited to try out Johan over last season, and though he did not yield heavy NHL use, we were still pleased with what we saw. Happy to continue assisting Johan's transition and development, and looking forward to where we're headed!

thanks to MV for communication in dealing... Johan decided to test free agency, and that news is never easy to take... we are happy he's found his way back to us!
