Monty Posted June 19, 2016 Share Posted June 19, 2016 Would like to thank the Flyers fan base for watching the draft at the "Cheesesteak Lounge and Bar." While we had a draft plan, we only missed out on one guy we had targeted, thanks to @_arby_18. We did pass on a defenseman, in the first, but did not anticipate Tkachuk dropping. So all in all, here is who we were able to add: - Matthew Tkachuk - Ilya Sorokin - Conor Garland - Keegan Kolesar - Adin Hill - Kevin Lebanc - Victor Mete All in all, we added players who are all very close to playing in the NHL. With the Flyers finishing the year near the bottom of the league, while also in dire need of goaltending depth, we swung for the fenses with two goalies who will be in the NHL very soon. Adin Hill will begin next season in the AHL, while Sorokin is tearing apart the KHL, and is signed for another two season before he'll cross over. Conor Garland and Kevin Lebanc will also begin next season in the AHL, and are long shots to joining their pro clubs next season. Lastly, I was able to draft my hometown boy, Keegan Kolesar, who is an absolute beast and a force in with the Winterhawks. Fun draft. Congrats to all and looking forward to a busy off-season.
