But still missing 6 weeks is a lot of training time missed. Edler had the same surgery and was out for two and half months. I assume he is likely to miss prospects camp...first no EP now OJ...freaking injuries never stop relenting on this team. Starting in Utica will not be bad for Juolevi. Happy he's getting surgery. I wonder if this was an injury that was nagging him last season? Could explain why he hasn't been able to take his game to the next level?
cbdoubleu
I guess McAvoy and Chychrun have had their own injury/health issues too, but seeing what Sergachev did should be putting a lot of pressure on Benning's back.

cyoung
This will slow his summer down big time. Utica won't be bad though, having these kids grow up together and win together will be extremely helpful in the long run.

He's very young, so he will be better for this too. I still say he's in our top four by Christmas. 2

He reminds me a lot of Luc Bourdon (RIP), who had a similar skillset and needed more time in the minors, but was finally starting to show why we drafted him so high when tragedy struck. 48MPHSlapShot
Welp, he's screwed. Same surgery Edler had, and he was never the same afterwards.

Alex Edler had surgery in January 2011 and put up 49 points (his career best) in the following season. 2 1 1
