Meh. Most nhl ready and safe D but imo not even the best D in the draft, let alone merit for going higher than 3.

Agree on Necas though.

Yeah yeah I know your not high on Miro. It's okay you'll be wrong :P

They were excited for their future 5 years ago.  Hahaha

still waiting for that great future to arrive.

Are you saying that Avs fans are more over optimistic than Canuck fans? Now, if Benning can draft Dahlen then my dial goes up a tad.

???    No.  I said nothing like that. Lol.

I'm saying they have a $&!#ty young team.

On paper, they look pretty decent.

If I didn't know any better I'd think you were talking about the Oilers or Coyotes. lol

My crystal ball says we draft Petterson

I would prefer mittelstadt but that's just me. Plus Sedins would be great mentors for Dahlen and Petterson

lol, cannot believe I posted this, and way back in March too, maybe JB can hire me as a scout JK. Thanks guys for reminding me.

What a draft this was, we've signed most of our picks so far.

I think we'll probably sign DiPietro this summer, probably after the development camp in July.

Rathbone is looking promising although, we'll get a much better read once he's facing other players in college this coming year.

Gunnarsson isn't putting up points, but he looks like a solid defensive D, playing against men.

Brassard is looking like he's worth throwing a contract to, if he continues to develop next year, the way he did this one.

We've already signed the other 4 and they all had really good draft +1 years.

Awesome job by Benning and our scouting crew!

So, who you got for this year? :)

Inquiring minds and all that

Here's some more predictions from some pretty reliable sources.

Everybody's got Nolan Patrick #1 except one person. Corey Pronman ESPN. Although the predictions were from Jan, Feb & March.

Craig Button's is pretty recent & he's got Necas at #3.

Button was the only one with Makar that high.

People mock him but years after the drafts the guy tends to be more correct about his picks making the NHL than the rest of the big boys.

So true. Remember when people made fun of him for having Virtanen in the second round?
