Any time Weisbrod's linked to a player I just cringe... if he played a big role in them signing with the Flames and now they're unwanted by the Flames (and Panthers, in Knight's case), doesn't that say something about them? Could be nice depth pieces as AHL/NHL call-ups. Gagner is intriguing. Not too old, but can he play in a bottom 6 role if needed? Possible scoring depth guy who can move up and down the lineup. Would not give you big points but would be a better fit on the 4th over a guy like Granlund. Knight is an intriguing option as an AHL depth guy who could be called up later in the season because of injuries. Not as sold on Gagner but he'd likely be cheap and sign a one year deal. Still... But seriously, if he'd sign for a million bucks I think he'd make a good pk specialist or perhaps a utility guy? Otherwise I'm fine with going with the kids we already have.
