And you think doping in sports falls under the category of overly controlling? You would rather have athletes be forced to dope in order to compete (which is what would happen)?

Yes I do. You are at the very best a statist if you think that the only thing standing between chaos and civility is government.

It's been proven that without controls the only athletes that make it to the top levels dope. Even with controls, the vast majority of top level athletes are doping. Sorry, that's just human nature. It's also a self-selecting process. If you don't dope, you can only get so far. Everyone is talented at the top and everyone is working hard. Doping is a huge advantage.

Do NHL players dope?

Doping gives you a huge advantage. The line between NHL star and career AHLer is razor thin. The NHL also writes kids off at 18. Either all of the talent in the NHL is so talented that they can beat people using PEDs, or a lot of the players have or do use PEDs.

It's no coincidence that there is a rash of blood clotting and circulatory diseases, a common side effect of blood doping.

Testing in the NHL is also a joke, as they don't test in the off-season. You just need to time your PED cycles correctly. Keep in mind that steroid users do not use steroids constantly. They cycle on and off. 2 cycles/year would be what a professional bodybuilder might use. 1 cycle a year would still be a lot.

its an example of a region without government... whats the issue?

If you think that Somalia is a serious example of an experiment with limited government then you obviously don't have any basic knowledge of these subjects and your comments should not be taken seriously by anyone

If you don't get drafted at 18 it's very difficult to make it to the NHL. Naturally a lot of guys don't physically mature until their late twenties. It creates a lot of pressure to accelerate the maturing process with drugs.

Who said anything about an experiment? Its a region without a government. That's what you want, right?

bodybuilders stay "on" throughout the year --- so there one cycle is consists of them being on for the whole year

There might be some nut jobs out there, but every bodybuilder I've ever heard of does cycles, which involve going off cycle to allow the body's natural testosterone to start again and to give the organs a break.
