canucklehead44
Not much to say about this signing. Enroth was once highly touted, but never really took off. Still not too old at 28 and has had some success. Decent enough backup tender at a cheap price.

canucklehead44
Interesting note: Enroth was drafted with the Canucks' pick (traded for Mika Noronen). Enroth played 6 seasons for Buffalo before he was traded for Lindback and a 3rd - Casey Fitzgerald. As a rookie NCAA defenseman Fitzgerald scored 27 points in 39 games. Safe to say we did not win that trade. Noronen was in four games. Had one win, a GAA of 3.52 and a save pct of .870. He left when we signed Luongo (didn't want to be stuck as a backup). He never played in the NHL again. It is crazy that we paid a 2nd round pick for a crap goalie like Noronen at the deadline when all we got in the offseason for a very effective Eddie Lack was a 3rd & 7th. Noronen now plays in a 2nd-tier Finnish league.
