gmen81
Always nice to see that from your 2nd round pick. Also a good thing as I could use another forward on my main roster. We will see how long this lasts though. Also will I'll listen to offers on Chytil but will probably just listen.

D-Money
So Agostino plays 2 preseason games, scores 1G & 2A, and ends up a +3 (he was the only + forward on Boston in that 5-1 drubbing last night), and ends up waived? If Vancouver wasn't already overflowing with depth PP specialists, that would be a guy worth looking at. Wonder if Ottawa claims him, with White getting hurt, and MacArthur likely done. They're still waiting on Brassard and Dzingle too.
inane
Remaining Blues prospects in contention for the NHL! F Tobias Lindberg -- Toronto Maple Leafs. Seems unlikely he'll survive the final round of cuts. F Lucas Wallmark -- Carolina Hurricanes. Seems unlikely he'll survive the final round of cuts. F Rourke Chartier -- San Jose Sharks. Seems possible he'll survive the final round of cuts. F Owen Tippett -- Florida Panthers. Seems possible he gets the 9 game trial. D Olli Juoelvi -- Vancouver Canucks. Highly improbable he makes the team. D Joe Hicketts -- Seems unlikely he'll survive the final round of cuts. D Gabriel Carlsson -- Columbus Blue Jackets. Seems possible he'll survive the final round of cuts. D Gustav Olofsson -- Minnesota Wild. Seems possible he'll survive the final round of cuts. Primal Optimist
Vancouver is looking to acquire two NHL players for the 4th line or pair. We have a certain kind of player in mind, but open to all options at this point: not paying over and above for anyone, so decent hockey trade offers only please. Nail
Waivers: Fedor Tyutin (MIN) has cleared waivers. Just a reminder to everyone that tomorrow October 1st, all players in the minor leagues for every team that have not been waived in the last month will be automatically placed on waivers by the league. A new thread will also be posted tomorrow, and teams will be expected to post their opening night rosters, which must be roster and cap compliant. Nail
Official Scoring Structure Change: Ahead of the 2017-18 season, we will be slightly tweaking our scoring structure system for the playoffs. As it stands right now, our playoff scoring structure is the exact same as the regular season scoring structure with the exception of goaltender overtime losses. Starting this season, any PIM points in the playoffs will only count as 0.5 pool points as opposed to 1. As we have experienced in the past few years, refs are not afraid to get guys out of playoff games which are getting out of hand, and hand out those 10 minute misconducts like crazy. By cutting the potential fantasy points in half, we are trying to lessen the chance that a playoff series gets decided on PIM points. So called "goons" on playoff teams will still have value come playoff time, but not as much as before when they led some teams in playoff point scoring. Each PIM point will still be worth 1.0 pool points in the regular season, it is only cut in half for the playoffs. Thanks all.

Thank you Nail for the pleasant negotiations. 3 years ago, the Carolina Hurricanes team was in disarray. Finishing near the bottom of the standings with not much of a future. The next two seasons were completely different, finishing 3rd and 1st in the regular season, and Artemi Panarin was a huge reason for this franchise's complete turnaround. With my core locked up for the next foreseeable future, the Hurricanes have many more years of finishing in the top 10 in the league.

BM24
ROSTER MOVES ASSIGNMENT: Flames assign D Alexei Bereglazov to the Rocky Mountain Rage of the AHL. Quote While we are disappointed Alexei couldn't stick in the NHL to begin the season, we are confident we will be seeing him at some point during the year. He needs to get familiar with the smaller North American ice and will do so down with the Rage (AHL). We hope Alexei elects to stay in North America to workout the kinks of his game as well as the adjustment period to become an NHL regular in the near future. ELC SLIDE: Flames designate D Sami Niku as final ELC Slide. Quote We believe we may be risking some NHL games from Sami this season, but the future is far more important to us and we value keeping that extra year on Sami's contract far more than a potential taste in the NHL this season. We see him as a legitimate threat to make the team next year and have high hopes for his skillset translating to the NHL. @Nail -- We would like to officially welcome F Mathias From, F Joseph Gambardella and G Alexandar Georgiyev to the organization and would like to thank @Monty for quick negotiations on these players we are very keen on for the future of this organization. We truly lack a player like From in our organization, as he is an all around player who loves to engage physically. We see big things coming from him, and he's already had a good start to that in the SHL where we hope he gets the appropriate icetime overseas to push his development forward - as it's very hard for young players to gain icetime at times overseas. We pushed for Gambardella as we think we will be seeing him at some point with the Flames. He is a very mature player and getting some seasoning with the Rocky Mountain Rage will be beneficially for his game. He will be a candidate for the first callup once injuries eventually hit. Georgiyev had a very solid season last year with TPS in Liiga. He showed quite well in Developmental Camp and continued that into main camp. It was very good for him to get some NHL preseason games in, but seeing as we have Price and Lehtonen, we can afford letting Alexandar adjust to North America. With these prospects added to our system, here is our final preseason prospect rankings, as voted on by the fans at CalgaryPuck Forums: CALGARY FLAMES PRE-SEASON PROSPECT RANKINGS TOP 25 *as voted on by the fans via the calgarypuck community 1.
