Finally get past the second round of the playoffs and end up winning the Stanley Cup in the 4th version of RGMG after I don't even know how many seasons.  I thought that Pittsburgh had a legitimate chance to win the cup this season with a lineup full of experienced veterans and cheap contracts.  This was our year to win and the team didn't fail to live up to expectations.  What a way to win the cup starting off with a first round matchup against an experienced New Jersey Devils team, followed by a matchup against our rivals, the Washington Capitals in the second round, and the up-and-coming Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round, and lastly the stacked Nashville Predators team in the finals.  Despite Pittsburgh failing to show up in several games throughout the rounds, the team managed to come up clutch when it mattered.

Glad to finally have success in a RGMG league or any CDC league for that matter.  Shoutout to @Nail, @Patrick Kane, and everyone else involved with making this league the best on CDC.

Team MVP: SIDNEY CROSBY

- 99 points, +68, put up big numbers after being overshadowed by Malkin the past two seasons

Runner Up: Phil Kessel

Top Scorer: PHIL KESSEL

- 103 points, +67, consistent performer during the teams cold streak in February

- posting career best numbers with a promotion to the top line with Crosby as his main c

Top Defensemen: KRIS LETANG

- 81 points, +26, logging 22+ mins per game

- Norris trophy quality performance, huge improvement over last year with a new defence partner in Jake Muzzin

Unsung Hero: JACOB MARKSTROM

- posted 15 wins in only 20 starts, 2.39 GAA, 0.922%, 1 SO

- team was finally able to depend on the backup goalie for the first time in years

Runner Up: Carl Hagelin

Top Rookie: DANIEL SPRONG

- 41 points in 48 games played, played above expectations on our third line with the Sedins and top PP mins

- would likely have contended for the Calder if he played a full season

Runner Up: Lukas Bengtsson

2018/19 - Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins Roster

Gustav Nyqvist - Sidney Crosby [C] - Phil Kessel [A]

Carl Hagelin - Evgeni Malkin [A] - Patric Hornqvist

Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Daniel Sprong

Lance Bouma - Travis Zajac - Dustin Brown

Jake Muzzin - Kris Letang

Derrick Pouliot - Justin Schultz

Brian Dumoulin - Lukas Bengtsson

Ben Lovejoy

Marc-Andre Fleury

Jacob Markstrom

- glad to give the Sedins a much deserved cup ring before their likely retirement, great to see them go out on top

- bringing in experienced veterans such as the Sedins, Brown, Zajac, and Bouma did wonders for the team given that we missed the playoffs last year and a first round exit in the season prior

- going to face a cap crunch with key players such as Nyqvist, Hagelin, Schultz, and Pouliot looking for new contracts

- the oldest team in the league wins a cup (30.1 average age)...the old guys can still play

Congrats to @Dion Phaneuf and his highpowered Penguins on winning the Cup! Deserving finals appearance for both teams being the best in their respective conference. And for the Pens, coming out ontop in a thrilling game7 having been the best team all year round being the Presidents Trophy winners.

Dallas is proud of ex-Star Jake Muzzin who was traded prior to the season for winning it all. And to ex-Star Jordan Staal who likewise was dealt and made it all that way to a winner take all g7. The Stars would also like to acknowledge the Sedins for finally winning the Cup. Two of the most deserving players there are. Fitting they signed for significantly below market value to win and here they are now, likely leaving the game they poured their heart and souls to on top....props to @Time Lord as well for maintaining the success he's been able to all these seasons.

...and to Nail, you're the fracking GOAT commish! Thanks for all you do; you're time and effort does not go unnoticed. Enjoy the holiday season and New Year ;)
