Just Little Things

I know there are a couple things that annoy you/pet peeve threads, but I haven't seen any threads for the opposite: a thread for little things that please you or make you happy. I searched but didn't find one, so if it exists please lock this up.

With that said, I thought it'd be fun to have a thread about life's simple pleasures. Here are a few of mine, feel free to add your own.

Little things that make me happy: 

• Being known in my office/personal life as someone who smells really good (this perfume don't come cheap so I appreciate the compliments)
• When hockey players/teams like my posts or retweet me
• Seeing all the winter/Christmas lights put up around this time of year
• Cheese (it's seriously the cornerstone of my diet). I've never met a cheese I didn't like.
• How cheap AHL tickets are in my area

He seemed like he genuinely enjoyed himself at the event, but he's a classy individual so it shouldn't be surprising. I liked that girl (Frances) too, she was fun.

• Snuggling with my kitties.
• Seeing all the houses decorated for Christmas.
• Sleeping through an entire night without waking up.
• Snow (even though it hardly ever snows over here).
• That feeling after you finish all your homework/exams.
• Eating something you really like after not eating it for a long time.
• Actually being able to watch a game (I always have something to do when they're on ).
• Listening to the sound of rain at night.

Personally I would've put the smell of the ocean in the "things that annoy you" thread, but to each their own. 

 

Little things that make my life worth living:

 

- Funny dog videos on Facebook

- New PR's at the gym

- A good poop

- Putting on underwear fresh out of the dryer. 

- When I actually flip to a radio station in time to hear Tom Cochrane's "Big League" or the remix to R Kelly's "ignition" in their entirety.

Being so busy at work and bills, and worrying about  my children and their lives... I really need to sit down and contemplate the simpler things in life. I look forward to that moment.

I need to let stress go and just invite that type of calm I guess.

I find sitting alone for a few minutes a day in direct sunlight while just deeply breathing does soooooo much.

Great idea. I need to turn that corner. I think its the best time of year to do that too. with holidays just around the corner.

we would have to leave town to sit in direct sunlight...there hasnt been any for  literally 2 months...

cooking something that I actually enjoy

days with actually nothing to do but what you want to do

my first coffee of the day

my second coffee of the day

going to the casino

winning at the casino

sleeping through the night without waking up every 4 hours.

- Fissing (farting and pissing at the same time)

- eating till I'm uncomfortably full. 

- cracking my neck and spine with a good hard twist coming out of bed.

- the smell of cedar, gasoline, Aluminum, Tire shops, cutting the grass and my farts. 

- I like the sound of welding and grinding in fab shops. 

 

-popping pimples especially black heads.
