I'm curious as to why teams don't have to reveal what these future considerations end up being.

Kinda hard to when they don't know beforehand. And it usually ends up being so inconsequential once it is finalized that it's not worth the ink on the page other than to file it with the NHL.

Not much to say about this guy, he's not putting up massive numbers in the Q so maybe they see something of a physical, bottom six forward in him?

Benning needs to be focusing on acquiring more picks, not scouting long shot overagers from the Q.

If we're going for UFA prospects the NCAA is where they should be focusing their efforts on.

Believe it or not, they have the resources to multtitask.  Should they not have wasted time scouting some oversized longshot from way off in Russia?  There should be no limits to looking for potential players, and that is one thing they've been noted for doing.

If he ends up being a solid contributor in Utica, it will be worth it...but will it be worth the countless posts on CDC? Hmmm...

Benning was just over seas scouting.......he doesn't do all the scouting by himself....it has already been said they're following the NCAA closely.....

Yeah why bother having our scouts look at all options right?

We've got other guys doing scouting, not just JB.:P It's not as if this kid would be ever expected to make the Canucks for the foreseeable future, if ever. At the very least it could add depth on the farm. Alaska and Utica need guys, too.

Yep another Laplante is just what we need. Guy was a stud.

If we're gonna sign guys like this they better be able to skate fast and crash and bang hard at the very least. A guy who simply puts up points at that age in the Q is a waste of a contract IMO.

Last few overagers that were pumped up have been duds:

Jon Martin

Dryden Hunt

Both played in the WHL and not the Q; putting up phenomenal numbers. Zack plays in the Q and is NOT lighting it up. He'd be a fringe 4th liner, at best.

Megna, Chaput and Skille at best?

Maybe he turns out better than Laplante and is worth a flyer on at least.
