Proposal: Van - Chi

To Chicago:  Alex Burrows (Half Retained)

To Van: Dylan Sikura, Spencer abbot, 3rd and 6th.

Why: Chicago is a cup contender once again and with the expansion draft coming we need to open up protection spots. Sikura and Adam Gaudette currently both play for Northeastern alongside Zach Ashton-Reece combining to be one of the filthiest lines in the NCAA. So not only does having both line mates give us a better chance to sign him, Sikura alone is the same age as Virtanen, and is having a stellar year alongside his aforementioned team mates. The draft being weak and Chicago winning means the picks will be late ones in their rounds in a bad draft year, however Benning can find value where none is to be found so thats why those are included. However if you feel that its too much for the hawks to give up just comment saying so.

Chicago gets a revitalized veteran alex burrows on rental for the year with loads of playoff experience and a cup final. Plus protecting him wont be a big deal because his deal is up at the end of the year, and were retaining  max salary to make the cap work (abbot is the other counterweight, extra wing depth can't hurt).

Way too much for burrows. If we retain 50% salary Id still say he's worth a 2nd for sure.

I like what ur going for tho, Dylan sikura with gaudette will put us as big dogs to get Zach Aston-Reese. Breaking in the league is hard but if u got friends with u it's easier, hence why this makes sense.

I don't think Chicago would wanna lose him tho.
