(Proposal) Fast forward the retool

Recommended Posts

We are "retooling" and I think I know how to quickly flip this team.

First off I think it's an easy fix, and I think I understand what Jim bennings doing.

Jim benning is looking for prospects instead of picks that's probably because he wants to speed up our retool.

Players that should get traded

Hansen

Edler

Burrows

Miller

------------------------------------------------------------------

Hansen- Minnesota for Jordan greenway

Or

Hansen- Winnipeg for Nick Petan

Or

Hansen- Chicago for Dylan sikura

Note*Hansen to Winnipeg is most realsitic, plus his family lives there so I see benning making it happen. Petan is a BC kid too.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Edler to Ottawa

Canucks get chlapik and 2nd

Burrows to Montreal for 3rd

Miller 50% retained for prospect

------------------------------------------------------------------

At the draft we draft one of

Patrick A+ projection: getzlaf

Hischier A+ projection: Kane

Vilardi A projection: Thornton

Mittelstadt A- projection: Seguin

Liljegren A- projection: Doughty

IMO I think the biggest stars outta this draft will be hischier and Mittelstadt

Sign Zach Aston Reese

Next year's roster:

Sedins Granlund

Baertschi horvat Boucher

Eriksson Sutter (petan)

LW C RW

Stecher Tanev

Hutton Tryamkin

Sbisa Gudbranson

Marky

In utica:

Boeser gaudette Aston-Reese virtanen jasek zhukenov brisbois Neill, ect

2018 season is probably the same with injuries and bottom 5 finish

We pick a solid forward or defender.

2019 We will be a good team again

I like your plan, you may be asking a little much for some of our players but that is what Benning should be shooting for. Id also like to see one of Sbisa or a young D prospect such as Hutton traded. switched for a young centre but we'll see. Sbisa at the deadline or Hutton traded during the offseason wouldn't surprise me. Hopefully McEneny shows well in his time up here and can be a good extra piece moving forward. For next year(not in order because Juolevi probs can't be first pairing yet)

Juolevi-Tanev

Tryamkin-Stetcher

Sbisa/Hutton-Gudbranson

McEneny, Subban, Pedan

Thank goodness someone on CDC knows how to 'flip' this team otherwise what would JB do?

Anaheim isn't giving up Ritchie - he's built for the playoffs.

I see your plan, but its success kind of hinges on us drafting elite guys with our top picks, right?  Do you trust JB to get elite forwards with his top picks?

It's not about drafting them, we will be bad and they will be available. Whether JB has enough patience to let them develop properly is another story

It's no secret the Canucks are going to try and trade Hansen, Burrows and maybe Miller at the TDL. Now the pressure is on JB to make that happen. I would rather he trade for prospects or young (under 25) skilled forwards that can provide scoring, than draft picks. Picks are a crap shoot, especially this year, unless you get a top 3. There is no generational talent in this years draft. Patrick and Hischier should become very good NHL players though. Canucks aren't lucky enough to get 1st overalls, or draft a player that will change the team and give it's fan base a jolt of excitement (not since Bure). We've had the Sedins and they've been amazing and sublime with the way they play the game, but you'll never see a Sedin try to go end-to-end to score. Bo is the closest player we have. I think the Canucks need a 1LW, for Bo's new line next year. Of course my 1st choice would be to get Domi, but who knows how realistic that is. Same with Landeskog, Buchnevich and Kane. I have my doubts Benning pulls that off.

Others that could be good are: Michael Dal Colle (NYI), Anthony Beauvillier (NYI), Lawson Crouse (FLA), Sebastian Aho (CAR), Jimmy Vesey (NYR), Viktor Arvidsen (NSH) and Charles Hudon (MTL)
