Crappy result, but the first two periods were among the most entertaining in some time. Labate brought his physical game and McEneny didn't look out of place at all for a guy playing his first NHL game. Grenier was alright but passed up a couple opportunities to shoot when he really need to prove something, although he formed a pretty good unit overall with Gaunce and Boucher.

The powerplay looked decent too. The first unit controlled for the entire two minutes on the first PP (but had that huge blunder the second time), and the second unit looked very dangerous on that second PP.

 

Hopefully we still get to see a couple of these young guys in the lineup on Tuesday. Bring on the trade deadline!
