Goldy with the hat trick.

Leading the team in points.

Wonder if his stock is going up?

No. Apparently teams know he can't play defence. He needs to play with the puck else hes ineffective. (thats what they say). He may head to Russia after this season?

I have a tough time seeing where Goldie would fit on this team.  He needs to be a top 3 LW to have any kind of success (some might say a top 2 LW).  He either gets traded by the deadline or stays in Utica for this season and heads back to Russia in the off season.

I’m gonna guess he gets traded at the deadline to a bubble team that’s desperate for some scoring. Buffalo kinda makes sense in my head.

Ya Buffalo would be good.  I think Min., Florida or maybe the NYI.

Frustrating prospect, so much potential, just can't seem to put the whole game together.

Honestly our 5 on5 production has disappeared just like our scoring depth. Might be time to try stuff no?

I like that Benning is targeting skilled players. That's Baertschi, Granlund, Dahlen and Goldobin from trades.

This aged well

Goldy will be a much better match with brock and petey than what pearson showed in Philly.

How was he today?

I was listening to the 1st period on the radio and the guys on 650 were praising him for most of the period, saying he’s been good defensively.

Came back at the start of the 2nd. Don’t even think he hit the ice during the 2nd or 3rd.

Pretty much sums it up.

Canucks were God awful in the first period, has like 2 shots for almost the entire period... Goldobin got a few shifts with Petey, made a couple decent defensive plays (broke up one long possession cycle against us in particular) and then got moved onto another line and pretty much stapled to the bench after that.

And now he will be blamed for them falling apart in 3rd

Green needs to use the players on the bench if they dress.  Throwing guys like Edler and Benn out there for big minutes is not the answer.  Edler gets slower as the game goes on.  Petterson could be benched for a shift or two as well when he makes bonehead plays.  Green needs to look at his overall approach to games and stop just playing his so called stars.

Green needs someone to be able to say is not working out/playing a complete game and send back down to try to hide/mask the abysmal coaching decisions.

Not that goldy is a complete player yet but he sure has the skill and it will probably take a bit longer to accurately judge, however I dont see the coaching staff giving him that much time.
