Hate to break it to you, but given the last ten games, the Canucks project to get on the low side 8-12 points in the remaining 16 games. The schedule for the next 7 games it's possible the Canucks will go 1-6. It's tough schedule, and favourable for tanking, but the team will still get points in those games. I could argue that since even last place your odds are now under 20% to get first overall, (17.936%) how it is it going to help? The draft lottery is so screwed up that you are more likely to drop than move up. What's the point of that?
