Hortankin
Think about it for a second. When JB took over who was the best young guys here? Horvat - was the best by far but even then we didn't think he would be as good as he is, but he is Shinkaruk - High point producer who lacks an all around game that will possibly hold him back of a successful NHL career Corrado - Man he was so over rated on here due to lack of D prospects Hutton - He kind of caught us by surprise last year. TBH I think he just had a lucky year and I don't think he has the potential many think. I'd really like to see him packaged in a big trade come draft day while he has good value. Just my opinion I understand any criticism I get for that. Markstrom - Future Carey Price *sarcasm* Is there any more worth mentioning? Cassels? Grenier?... Future AHL call ups 3 years later... Demko - Carey Price 2.0? Virtanen - Struggling but I promise he will be a top 6 forward for us. I just know it, he's really good, just needs that man's strength to reach that potential. Boeser - future top 6 for sure, I'm going to go as far as saying he will hit 40G atleast once in his career Gaudette - Steal of his draft, I'm really eager to see him hit the big club, I see 2nd line C or Wing in his future, and he will be solid. Dahlen - Man he is going to be special. Let's buy out Burrows.. lol (mad respect JB!) Goldobin - Future top 6, maybe not so distant future, I don't see him playing our 1st line as I think Boeser and Virtanen will be Horvat's wingers. But he would be good enough. Baertschi - Solid top 6 forward that I feel won't be here too long unless he is willing for a 3rd line role with top 6 fill ins (our new Hansen?). I just don't see it happening. I see us picking 4-6 and Benning packaging him, Hutton, and our pick to make sure we fill that #2C. Granlund - He is our next Hansen. He will be a 3rd line scoring winger capable of moving up and down the lineup. Juolevi - I see a Tanev with higher offensive IQ. Tryamkin - Oh yeah Stecher - Solid offensive defenceman with well above average defensive awareness and a really high work ethic. If only he was bigger Gudbranson - Will prove A LOT of you wrong, trust me Others that has great potential include Brisbois, Zhukenov, Pedan, Boucher... I'm expecting we enter next year with a new coach and a more offensive high flying playing style. Sedins will have a bounce back year playing on the 2nd/3rd line against weaker opposition. Slowly you will see some of these young guys take over the team and even know we won't be serious cup contenders we will see playoff hockey and it will be exciting again. I really believe that deep down. It's all uphill from here. Our first cup winning team? 2020 Virtanen Horvat Boeser Goldobin (Hischeir?) Dahlen Gaudette Sutter Granlund Sedin Sedin Eriksson Juolevi Tanev Tryamkin Stecher XXXXX Gudbranson Demko Sedins retire CHAMPS!!!! Eriksson traded for a pick Then comes the beginning of us breaking the Redwing playoff record, JB eventually breaks record for longest ever tenured GM and the Canucks win atleast 3 cups under him. I travelled back in time to tell yas that. Watch out for the butterfly effect!

-Stammer-
I agree Benning has done a good job but... I think you're a little too optimistic about our prospects

NP or Hischier. We need our future 2C to complete this vision. To me there's 3 options. Hischier, NP, or Duchene.

coastal.view
man it really is all or nothing on this site jb is a terrible gm and lets fire him asap to saying he is the best gm ever after only 2.5 year but using terms like "god" i get it is slang.. but that is just too extreme too fast i guess it keeps everyone on here stoked to go from hot to cold and back so fast if you have lived a little longer you'll find slow and steady is really not such a bad thing kinda peaceful and relaxing (no need for any bud either)

coastal.view
i like the job jb is doing but let's get real here the failure rate for prospects is at least 50% or more you are assuming this team hits on 100% of our prospects pretty damn unrealistic and one reason why so many on this site are so glum they think if jb bats .500 or less he is in fact doing a lousy job but he would be doing very well if he could even hit on 50% of the prospects
JustABandwagoner
No way cup champions 2020 Man.. Just watch us get smashed by Connor Mcjesus (2-3 pts/night playoffs, just watch) just like how we smashed by Kane. But again we BARELY smashed kane the 3rd try around. Virtanen is the long shot projection as he's the only on not really proving anything yet. Correct me if I'm wrong. Gaudette and Boeser am I wrong highly doubt it. Have you seen Dahlen play? If not you really should Goldobin I may be wrong about but I believe he's got that it factor. All the Dmen I mentioned are proving it all year, except Juolevi but it will come. Demko I'm not wrong about just watch. So out of these players can you let me know what half you think will fail?
