Alexander Radulov has turned down an offer from the Russian Ice Hockey Federation to play in the 2017 IIHF World Championships.

Not surprised he's apparently asking for an 8 year contract with the Habs or something like that.

Ew lol

Didn't he have 7 points in the Playoffs in a team that scored only 11 goals in their 6 game first round exit?

For a team that can't score I'd say that's pretty impressive.

Not saying he should get a 7 or 8 year contact though but his camp has the leverage in contract negotiations.

I don't care what he did in the playoffs. 7-8 years on a guy who has darted once before and in his 30s....its gross lol

Coaches for the Russian National Team have decided not to use Sergei Bobrovsky for the 2017 IIHF World Championships due to fatigue.

"Having spoken to Sergei, we decided not to select him for the World Championship. It was the busiest season for Sergei so far. Without doubt, Sergei Bobrovsky is the national team's number one goaltender. He is always happy to play for his country. Sergei has played three World Championships with us, as well as the World Cup and the Olympic Games. When conversing, he stated that he is always ready to play for our team if needed."

"Because of his busy season, we have decided not to call Sergei up. We have given Andrei Vasilevskiy an opportunity at the World Championship to be the number one goalkeeper."
