Guest
This is a thread for everybody whose made incredibly one sided deals in any EA Sports game. This includes FIFA, NHL, and Madden. NHL Franchise mode: Hutton for Laine(Laine goes on to score 25 goals) Sedins and pick for Scheifele(30 goals) (after I trade for Matthews) Matthews, Gudbranson, picks for McDavid(51 goals 51 assists, 102 points) Trades up until I have a tandem of Dubnyk/Murray

Jaku
I've traded a ton of picks and young AHL players/prospects but my current roster is - Laine(87) - Horvat(86) - Reinhart(86) Rantanen(85)- Sedin(88)- Nylander(85) Aho(83)- Sutter(85) - Grigorenko(84) Goldobin(81) - Granlund(82) - Virtanen(82) Edler(86) - Jones(88) Hutton(86) - Gudbranson(86) Tryamkin(83) - Stecher(83) Miller(85) Markstrom(84)
Tom Sestito
I like playing my sims realistically, but that's just me. For example I kept the Sedins for this past season and kept them until the TDL of next season before dealing them retained to the top team in the league who won the cup with the sedins. Then brought them back for a final year before they retired. It took me until 2022 to win the cup, though. Huberdeau 88 Johansen 89 Boeser 90 Panarin 87 Horvat 85 Palmieri 87 Meier 84 Bergeron 86 Marner 84 Gaunce 83 dont rmb dont rmb Carlson 89 Subban 91 Chabot 87 Faulk 88 Pettersson 83 Schmaltz 86 Demko 94 Went all out that season and acquired Palmieri Bergeron and Subban all at the TDL. All were UFA's to become.
-AJ-
Back in NHL 06, I'd just upgrade my trading and straight up trade a worse player for a better player 1 for 1. Like, same age and potential, 1 or 2 overall difference. Rinse and repeat and you have the All-Star team NHL.

thejazz97
I'm pretty sure you can do Bieksa for Theodore in NHL 16. Also, Sedins for Dubois + Werenski + a first in 17.
HerrDrFunk
Did Edler for Nylander, straight up, a little while back.

In NHL 12 I traded Jason Garrison straight up for the 1st overall pick. Picked Sam Reinhart with it of course
HC20.0
I traded Burrows to the Caps for their first at the start of Be a GM mode in NHL 15. The first turned out to be first overall, Connor McDavid. Went on to score 1,000+ points, win basically every trophy.
Kurt Nirvanagut
I've never been a fan of stacking rosters. I prefer to play with a weak team and develop them as much as possible. I usually acquire Evander Kane though. Edit: And Wayne Simmonds.

ItsMillerTime
I sim to 2020+ and in my Canucks one went up to 2030 and only one franchise player had been drafted. "Morgan Moses" Next One Basically like 99 shooting. It is fun but the picks suck usually ending up being 84-93 overall.
Noble 6
Gaborik (85) - Crosby (95) - Brodziak (83) Palat (86) - Eichel (86) - Williams (85) Kunitz (84) - Vermette (84) - Brown (84) Rebeiro (84) - Roy (82) - Ward (83) Martin (87) - Klingberg (88) Fowler (87) - Tanev (87) Hamhuis (85) - Ekholm (85) Allen (85) Hellebuyck (82) Manson (82), Pirri (81) I did a fantasy draft to start. Violator
Wasn't a trade but I picked up Malkin on waivers he was only 32 at the time and his cap hit was 12million.

Jägermeister
I like to try and play my games somewhat realistically. At the deadline in my NHL 17 Be a GM I traded: 1.Hansen for Goldobin and a 4th 2.Burrows and someone (I think it was Cederholm) to Ottawa for their 3rd (They rejected Burr for a 5th) 3.Edler to Washington for their 1st (pre-roster update, they didn't have Shattenkirk Over the course of my 2nd year I traded: 1. Eriksson (he had a 50 point 1st season and was on pace for about the same in the 2nd) to Montreal for Noah Juulsen . 2. Miller (who I re-signed for 1 more year) and a 6th to San Jose for their 2nd. 3. Sbisa for Brandon Montour after Anaheim proposed the trade. Sedins both retired as Canucks after the 2nd season ended. We were bottom 3 finishers both seasons.
