Having seen them both in action...there's some similarities in how they operate.

But if Sam and Watts are the best that the Liberals can dredge up....damn that's sad.

A better option would be Watts stepping in to revive the actual Conservative party here in BC allowing sammy to head the libs giving us a genuine 3 party system here

This seems very unlikely.

Would be for the best IMO

I'd much prefer to see a province by province stipulation that there needs to be 3 viable parties running in elections in each riding.  Will never happen but there's to many provinces basically sitting on a 2 party system

I can agree with this hip but the B.C conservatives are a bankrupt mess.

Should have had a government that kept up on its bills then for the last 20 years :P

If only the Wildrose was around back then. That being said Alberta's bills were paid 20 years ago, debt free in fact. Left leaning conservatives and ndp have us in debt and a massive defecit.

Stelmach and Redford were not left leaning until they started leading a failing economy.  Then they were "red tories"

Always laughed at that mentality.  Old gov is moving left, vote in another further right gov instead.

That kind of thinking left no money in the bank, bills unpaid things not built services cut and slashed to the bone and 0 leadership through the longest oil crash since the 80s.

Too bad the economy is rebounding so fast and things are in fact getting built, bills are being paid and services are being met for the people.  Hard to campaign by promising to slash even deeper.

Guess we'll see what happens there watching from BC

Care to elaborate on this or provide any facts. And btw we are borrowing to pay our bills under this government.

What bills were unpaid, what services were cut and what wasn't built under the Conservatives? Considering Alberta has the most and nicest roads in Canada and our teachers, doctors and nurses make the most in Canada what are you getting at?

I know you want to praise your national Democratic party:lol: again but you don't have to make things up.

Conservatives ruined Alberta.

Alberta is lucky to have the NDP put Alberta on the path to prosperity.   Seems like the economy in Alberta is really moving forward under the solid Alberta NDP leadership.

Great to see.  Good news for BC as well as our two provinces are so connected  economically.

Care to provide some facts that support. Again in both provinces you're in the minority especially Alberta since the ndp hasn't lead in the polls since about election night.

Sure looks like it's moving forward to me.  Has come out of recession, is growing again, set to be national leader without oil as the main economic driver.

You can hate the party, but you cannot hate the facts.  Now what will your reply be?  debt?  2019?  Survey and poll?  Oh fake news?

:P

Do you even read your links? Also on top of that did you see what I responded to?

Now quick reply in the other thread where you blamed Harper not realizing you had no clue what you were talking about. I guess it was another Ujjal Dosanjh moment for you. Or national Democratic party moment:lol:

You should give your links a quick glance.

From one of your links.

The Conference Board of Canada forecast in its fiscal snapshot that Alberta’s economy would grow by more than three per cent this year and 2.3 per cent in 2018. But it said economic growth would not reach pre-recession levels.

It said the biggest turnaround would be in investment, most of which is expected to come from the energy sector.

Keep in mind your links, a few of which are the exact same are just reports not fact. What we do know is we have very high unemployment, massive defecit and a wack of new taxes.

So glad to see Alberta finally get effective government with the Alberta NDP party.

Seems like Alberta is just taking off right now. I know so many young people from the lower mainland now heading their for a brighter future.

Hopefully we finally get good government in BC.

Reading about Site C and how it was Pirates plundering the bc taxpayer is pretty disturbing....   Finally the truth is starting to come out.

I wish your friends all the best but they may be heading back very soon.

PUBLISHED - Sep 8, 2017

In August 2017 Alberta's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.1%, down from the 8.5% rate that was registered a year earlier, but up from last month's rate of 7.8%. The national unemployment rate was 6.2% in August, down from last August's rate of 7.0%

By this logic those young people may as well head to the east coast for a "brighter future."
