My take on this is that if a doctor can has suspect of this injury from video play, I trust the Canucks team doctor would properly evaluate him and run test and reports for this injury as well. From the sound of it, even if he is injured that way, he can still be properly healed if treated properly. I also trust the team doctors to do what's right for him. It is more important for him to heal up 100% all aspect than rush him back.

A Chiropractor is not a Medical Doctor.

No Chiropractor I have ever heard of unless they have taken an MD program and graduated with a MD is a qualified medical doctor.

This Dr the province found under a rock sounds really important, but he does not have any medical training in acute care, neurology, orthopaedics or internal medicine.  He might be as qualified to make a diagnosis via video as a homeopath is to prescribe ‘non’ medication.

I go to my chiropractor to get adjusted. Not for medical advice.

rofl you are just afraid he may be onto somethng or he BS ....but in any degree, hits like he received can change a person ( and not always for the good lol ) ...guess when EP comesback, we shall see how he responds and see if his performance is effected in anyway lol

Did the doctor examine EP? He is clearly not a very good doctor. Doctors shouldn't tell patients they have cancer before they know themselves. Just further proof why the Canucks are covered by the worst media in pro sports! With a couple exceptions!

I take it people don't know what a modern chiropractor does or what schooling they get. Take 5-10 minutes and research. I'm not saying that it was right to comment on the play or for The Province for allowing the article to go to print. Just addressing that not all chiropractors conform to the stereotype that is out there.

As for EP, thrilled to see that he's back on the ice already. That can only be a good sign. A full and rapid recovery would be amazing!

Has anyone thought about trading for his brother Emil? Probably could swap him for Granlund or Leipsic hell maybe even Gaunce. He was a AHL all star last year so maybe he just needs a new organization that isn’t that skilled to fully be in the NHL

That could backfire. What if we trade for him, he doesn't pan out, and we end up moving on? That might piss Elias off. Just sayin'.

Brothers are not typically both good. There are obviously some exceptions, but there are a lot of instances where the other brother ends up more of a fringe NHLer. I remember when we were hoping Steve Kariya would amount to something. He didn't, at least not to the point of sticking in the NHL. lol

I think that NO ONE cares what some chiro says about an injury to a professional athlete after they watch TV. It is embarrassing to all chiros imo.

My idea was Loui with 50% retained for EP the older and a 4th!

It's hard to predict.  Sometimes there's too much expectations on one brother being equally good as the more famous one.

Many on CDC still thinks Valeri Bure wasn't a good player, even though he was an all-star one year and racked up 400 points in the NHL.

The Staals are a recent example of most brothers being pretty good... Eric, Jordan, Marc.... and then there's Jared.

Drafting or acquiring siblings isn't a bad idea in theory.  Good NHL players are where they are at due to their physical ability, intelligence, and drive.... both nature and nurture.  So when you have a sibling player who share nearly identical genetics and raised in a nearly identical environment... chances for success should be pretty high.  When you go through the rosters of NHL players, most seems to have familiar connection to someone else currently or from the past.

Chiropractors are well trained in what they do. But beyond that there are some that really believe they are actual medical doctors, just because they get to put the Dr next to their name.

IMO they have as much right to the Dr designation as a physiotherapist or osteopath does. They are all about equally trained.

Part of being trained and educated is about knowing what you don’t know or commenting on things that you are not qualified to do.  Simply put, the ‘doctor’ is no more qualified than Pratt is to diagnose a concussion.

My window into health care gives me enormous respect for emergency room physicians and internal medicine physicians, cardiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists and specialists.   I have watched as these doctors save lives or do everything possible to save a life.

Having someone who isn’t qualified trying to fill their shoes for attention bothers me. Not to say that the person in question isn’t good at his profession, just that maybe he should stick to his profession.
