DownUndaCanuck
Wow big move, would have kept Schenn because Patrick isn't ready just yet. He's only 25, 25 goal scorer and 50+ point getter.
Master Mind
I understand Philly making room for Patrick, but with Giroux and Couturier, why take Lehtera as part of the return?
billabong
Schenn will finally get to play C and Stl dumps lehteras 4.7m cap hit big win for Stl schenn is a wrecking ball who can score
Nancouver
Seems like a gamble with philly being a bubble team, they must be very confident patrick will play immediately. Hope for their sake his injuries aren't lingering
EternalCanuckFan
The Blues are quite deep up front so although this is an expensive trade, it's not bad. Schenn is still young and he's a solid top 6 guy. The Blues have been a bruising regular season team to play against and they just got tougher. Nuxfanabroad
Philly also has Filpula(TDL acquired) who expires in a yr. They'll get by(mediocre) for a bit longer. They're smart to accumulate all these 1st's. They'll be good in 3~5 yrs.

With Patrick they're now deep up the middle (Giroux, Couturier, Lehtera, Patrick?, Filppula) but not really up the wing (Raffl, Voracek, Simmonds are probably their best wing options). Wonder how their roster would look next season. Not saying that their haul is bad at all (a roster center, and 2 first round picks is really good). Maybe they'll flip one of their center ice-men? Could see why the Blues do this though, Schenn's pretty hard-nosed and could help in their playoffs (they haven't been very lucky in the post-season and Brayden's combination of speed and shooting should fit in with the two-way Blues, plus Tarasenko could use a running mate).
