He's only dressed for 23 games. But unlike Palmu he does not have any other options,23 is not much.

I imagine the things he needs to work on aren’t game related so having him play isn’t really super important although it’s still rather concerning. So hopefully he works his tail off on his skating.

At the end of the day it's up to the player to earn his spot in the line-up.

It sounds like Gadjoviv is accepting what his role is going to be to play in the NHL.  We may see him up with us sooner than many think if he keeps fighting.

It wasn't just that he got into a fight last night it's he has finally started to play a physical game.  He scored his second goal of the season on a deflection in front because he parked himself in front of the goalie battling for position.  He is more physical on the forecheck and getting dirty in the corners trying to get possession of the puck. For the first three months of the season he looked very passive out there and doesn't have the skating ability to make plays based on his skill set alone.  He needs to be hard to play against which he is starting to do and that will lead to more playing time.

I think the fight was a statement to Cull and his teammates that he is ready to step it up.  It was with less than a minute left in the game and started with a shoving match between Adams-Moisan from Leval and Arseneau from the Comets.  Even though Arseneau is the closest thing that the Comets have for a tough guy Gajovich jumped in and challenged Adams-Moisan to fight.  It was like he said "Vinny I got this".  It really did look like he was trying to make a statement.

The confidence is so important, coming into a locker room with older dudes, experience vets, and other highly touted prospects would be super tough. It's taken him a bit of time I think to get to this point but watch out now, the kid wants it.

He can chuck em...im sure his fists were mangled after this one though.

He certainly doesn't have any fear of running his fist straight into a helmet, hope he has tough bones in his hands. If he fights like that and his opponent's helmet pops off, watch out!

Disagree. Young player should be given some sort of leash to make mistakes Nd learn. This is a development league.

You don't develop getting handed minutes you're not ready for, don't deserve and haven't earned.

You get EDM-itis doing that.

We're talking about the ahl here. Edmonton is an nhl team.

The crunch have been doing this for Tampa for years with great success. L

 Are you sure? :bigblush:

And how well does EDM (and their AHL team) develop players...?

Right ;)

Giving unready players, undeserved Ice time? Doubtful.

Dahlen, Jasek etc have been getting ice time. Lind more so lately as well.

Why do you think that is? Some strange anti-Gadjovich agenda? Or perhaps he needed to do more work to play regularly at this level.... naah probably not the obvious, common sense reason...

More work than who? The chubby Boucher?

Not looking for ahl producers. Looking for nhl producers.

Bruh.

Really? I thought...:

Boucher's not there to develop. He's there to produce/shelter.

Buddy :P

Gadj is there to develop by out-competing guys like Boucher for minutes and spots. Same deal is why we don't just 'trade all the vets' from the Canucks and 'let the kids play' like so many CDC'ers and asshat media clamor for.

ACTUAL development. That's how you get NHL producers.

The sad part is this is what our prospects are resulting to to remain in tge lineup under cull.

It was a scrum at the end of the game that resulted in a fight, not because Cull is telling his players to fight.

Gadj last night played a very physical game...isn't that what he was drafted to do?  Be a physical presence.

The other guy gave up first.  Gadjovic was willing the exchange face punches, but the other guy grabbed on after Jonah got in some serious shots.  We need Jonah up on the big club, and soon.
