He's needed time to adapt to this level and hasn't earned more minutes. That's on him, not Cull.

Disagree. Young player should be given some sort of leash to make mistakes Nd learn. This is a development league.

You don't develop getting handed minutes you're not ready for, don't deserve and haven't earned.

You get EDM-itis doing that.

We're talking about the ahl here. Edmonton is an nhl team.

The crunch have been doing this for Tampa for years with great success. L

 Are you sure? :bigblush:

And how well does EDM (and their AHL team) develop players...?

Right ;)

Giving unready players, undeserved Ice time? Doubtful.

Dahlen, Jasek etc have been getting ice time. Lind more so lately as well.

Why do you think that is? Some strange anti-Gadjovich agenda? Or perhaps he needed to do more work to play regularly at this level.... naah probably not the obvious, common sense reason...

Boucher has 48 points in 40 game bruh...

He may be a career AHL'er but he produces.

Not looking for ahl producers. Looking for nhl producers.

Really? I thought...:

Boucher's not there to develop. He's there to produce/shelter.

Buddy :P

Gadj is there to develop by out-competing guys like Boucher for minutes and spots. Same deal is why we don't just 'trade all the vets' from the Canucks and 'let the kids play' like so many CDC'ers and asshat media clamor for.

ACTUAL development. That's how you get NHL producers.

It was a scrum at the end of the game that resulted in a fight, not because Cull is telling his players to fight.

Gadj last night played a very physical game...isn't that what he was drafted to do?  Be a physical presence.

He can chuck em...im sure his fists were mangled after this one though.

The other guy gave up first.  Gadjovic was willing the exchange face punches, but the other guy grabbed on after Jonah got in some serious shots.  We need Jonah up on the big club, and soon.

Didn't Lucic, in his prime, play in the Bruin's top six?  I think Jonah could be a very effective player for us.

Look. All im saying is our prospects shouldnt have to punch a helmet 15 times to send a message ro the coach. Simple as that.

What if he breaks his hand and misses the rest of the season plus playoffs? How exactly would that help development. At the end of the day its not a huge deal because this is part of JGs style, but what happens if lind does this to garner attention? Dahlen?

Not the message i want to sent to our prospects.

Usually if a player is in a rut and can't get much going and if they have the ability and willingness to fight, they want to show the coach they still care and are still willing.  Dahlen is more likely to use skill and speed to show that he still cares.  It's a good message that Jonah sent to all the young guys if anything

Yes he did.  Not sure that Jonah has the same talent, we will see.

Dahlen isn't really a fighter. Gadj is (or at least has that as part of his game). Dahlen's also already earned more play time and just needs to keep doing the things he's doing (and improving on them).

You're attempting quite the stretch of logic to square that circle...

You're welcome and perfectly okay to 'disagree' with me or anyone else on here. But if you post something obviously at odds with reality, people are likely to disagree with you and challenge your ideas. You should be prepared for that on a discussion board.
