BananaMash
Older Swedish defensive defenseman who throws the body around. Makes sense given when we've lost on the back end, though it kinda sucks that he's twenty. Had already played games woth Frolunda in the SHL though. saucypass
Obviously to unite him with our 2018 NHL draftee Rasmus Dahlin of course. Fun fact: On the same team as the Westerholm twins we had in the organization a few years ago, as well as this year's 7th overall pick Lias Andersson.
Provost
If Biega and Pedan are full time on the roster, we need some more ready D on the farm. Not sure if they plan on having him move over this year or next to the AHL, but it make sense. The Swedish touch sure shows which scout has clout and trust in the organization Edited June 24, 2017 by Provost

I remember we drafted one and invited the other to camp and people were so excited.

Derp...
I want to hear Bennings thoughts on this guy. I wonder what they saw that made him more desirable than a smaller puck mover.
Quantum
I was hoping the Canucks would draft Sebastian Aho with this pick so that Sebastian Aho could play Sebastian Aho in the NHL. This guy is a fine consolidation pick, however.
elvis15
209 even at 20 is pretty stocky, but a pretty defensive guy with little offense at pretty much any level to speak of. I don't expect us to draft players with elite offense with every pick, but it's less typical that players with little to no offense at lower levels succeed in the pros. The more the merrier, but we need some more sandpaper guys too.

The only issue for me is that guys like him are not hard to find in free agency. Obviously hoping for the best and that he can take a physical defensive style to the Comets, and eventually become a smooth passer and skater with bite to shut down opponents. Not necessarily fast, but using size and strength to get leverage in the corners and make smart plays once he gets the puck. Edited June 24, 2017 by Derp... True, but a guy on an ELC is a lot more cap friendly than going through free agency. I only wonder if they could have drafted him later.

Borvat
Shutdown guys who can think the game and skate are always valuable. I wonder how his transition game is it won't always show up in the points column. Plus I hope Subban finally gets a chance with the big club. He has earned it. He reminds me of a more mobile version of that Cederholm kid we drafted a few years ago.

Isn't Cederholm coming to play in North America this year and compete for a job?
