As much as teams always need D, they also know Vegas has too many so they aren't going to offer the moon. At best these are secondary tier D and we won't see much in the way of bidding wars to raise the value. The Canucks don't have to trade Tanev, so as much as they will listen to offers, they can say no to the low bidders. It's just not going to turn into a massive return like some are expecting. Rush17 Posted June 27, 2017 Share Posted June 27, 2017 a 2nd + a b level prospect isn't bad for a 32 year old d man who is likely going to struggle without Karlsson's speed to bail him out. karlsson may be an offensive dynamo but his d game wasnt half bad either. what is methot without karlsson? im guessing a 2nd pairing d man likely your #4 d man on a really good team. maybe ur #3 if he gets good chemistry.
