FS91
The team is looking for a way to attract fans. What attract fans more than having a future HHOF legend on your team who is likely of breaking the games played record this season (and if we sign him for 2 years a possibility of jumping into 2nd for all time goals scored). He seems to be a bit desperate to play next year so he could be had for cheap. Plus there's always the possibility of flipping him at the deadline for assets. Of course there is the counter argument of him taking up a roster spot that could be given to one of the young guys. Personally I think this provides a good excuse to let some of our players develop in the minors (Brock, Virtanen) rather than rush them along. And they can always be called up if/when injuries strike if they are proving themselves down there. Thoughts? Edit: Of course there's also the mentorship role he could provide as well
Nuxfanabroad
JJ's too old for this drama-queen behaviour. We've gotta' let go of 1990. Wasn't meant to be.
goalie13
He still has 23 more teams to play for to complete his collection.
PunjabiCanucks
He survives in the east as it isn't as physical. But he won't do as good in here I believe.
JM_
we'd get to have him when he passes Gordie for most games, so yah, sign him up! it would be great just for the celebration of that.
pluralsight
Sign Thornton and Iginla as well. Jagr - Thornton - Iginla We would win the Stanley Cup...in 2004.
-Vintage Canuck-
A true legend, but I don't see a fit on the Canucks. I could see him going to another middle-of-the-pack team in the east.
Losing With Pride
Sign and trade at the deadline for picks. If possible.
canuckmen84
One year deal and Jagr plays with the Sedins...Jagr scores 30 goals, Sedins get back to 70-80 points . sign him up. Reality is Jagr can't help this team ...Gagner , Weal , Stone or Alzner can and that's where the Jagr bucks need to go.

He's not drama queening. He's joking around about the fact that he's not getting interest from teams the same way that he joked around 2 years ago about dying of exhaustion if he was voted into the All-Star game. SabreFan1
He scored 46 points with the Panthers last year (16G-30A). He'll find a team as long as he lowers his asking price. $3-4 million is a bit much for a guy who is going to retire in the next 2-3 years. If Chicago was smart they'd offer him $1.5-$2 Million for a year to go with the chance at a Cup. Good leadership and he'd probably get around 55-60 points with better linemates. canuktravella
i say pay him 2 mill per for 2 yrs hes a guaranteed 40-60 points can be a leader and teach virtanen, horvat, juolevi, gaunce, boeser how to pro champs and id just like seeing what he could do on a line with sedins we have tons of cap space why not take a gamble see what jagr has left in the tank im betting its more than the sedins do have you seen how jacked that guy is what a machine

Ronaldoescobar
While he is one of the best to lace them up and would probably give Horvat a run for scoring lead with the Canucks. I think he is just having fun at this point and really wouldnt seriously sign with more than a few select teams of which Vancouver is definitely not one. Also not really a need (other than the scoring touch and nothing else) for Vancouver.
AlamoCanuck
Everything out of Florida was how he helped their younger players develop, but it became a #'s game why they didn't bring him back. 1 year with a 2nd year option 2.5 mil per would be worth it for the development part plus seat/jersey sales during rebuild. Jersey sales alone might pay for half the contract.
fabiogooseface
I'd be all over this if he is willing. The mentorship alone is well worth the cap space and roster spot. Still has some game left and I'm sure he'd still be one of our top scorers.
