I missed that happening No, but his Curtis Valk Talk page got moved from the prospects forum to alumni forum. And there is a Panthers press release saying he inked a 1 year entry deal. Probably deserves its own thread.

Lancaster
I guess like most on CDC, I was hoping he was able to make the jump to the NHL with Vancouver. Good luck to him in Florida.

Seriously, read carefully you two, he's clearly talking about bottom 6 forward - which is where Grenier will play if he ever makes it. Bottom 6 forwards need to be physical which is the opposite of Grenier.

Effective bottom 6 guys need to average 3-4 hits per game to be considered contributors. One hit....seriously..... Only 17 NHL forwards (and 16 Ds) averaged 3 hits a game or better last season. Zero forwards (and only 6 Ds) had 4 hits per game or better. By that standard (3-4 hits per game), there are very few "effective bottom 6 guys" in this league. 18 minutes ago, coryberg said: Bottom 6 guys? You know teams only dress 6 dmen don't you? I'm pretty sure they were talking about forwards.
Gaudette Celly
Good, gives even more opportunity for our offensive yutes to take on a big role with the Comets.

Crabcakes
His numbers in Utica were good but he was always a big meh in the show. I took it to be his ability to process the game at the highest level rather than being soft necessarily. Either way, he had his window which was the past 2 seasons. He wasn't going to be renewed imo.....25 now, he is what he is

If he's well ahead of them, then he's well behind Edler. And way, way, way behind Gudbranson and Biega. And even further than that behind Del Zotto, who averaged over 3 hits a game. For 6'5", he's not that physical. But back to Grenier, maybe he gets a sniff to see if they have anything but I don't think they'll find much unless he really ups his game.
