HI5
Seems like a good signing brings a little more than Dorsett to the table, younger and cheaper. Still hate him though.

They've had their run-ins since - Bieksa as a Duck - but at the time, in that series I don't recall Ferland being a willing combatant (and why would he? He was right under our skin - wise move to continue to drive Juice nuts.)

He was very effective against Van in the playoffs - but then he took a Sami Vatanen elbow early in the next round and it was a huge blow to Calgary. Guys like him tend to be pretty under-rated imo - the cap he just signed for is a real bargain for what he brings, and enables Calgary some extra flexibility as a result. One more reason I'm a Vatanen fan...

What Calgary exposed in our team, was that our D, under heavy duress, would eventually cough up the puck for a turnover, Possibly bruised, sore and a step slow from general soreness that comes from taking a consistent pasting. Resulting in high % scoring chances against. Often against the flow. It was too bad. Because, for the most part, we controlled play, controlled possession. Created more chances and in many ways, outplayed Calgary. Except for those bad turnovers resulting in easy goals. It also exposed that we were no longer dynamic at scoring goals. When we controlled possession for long stretches.
