None of us have any special insight just our own personal opinions and I take no joy in getting other CDCers riled up. As far as this topic goes, I have followed this team for a very long time. I have invested a lot of time in watching pretty much every game since 94. Unfortunately, I compare everything to that team as they gave me the most memorable summer that I can remember. Linden getting traded was one of the saddest day in Canuck land as well how Bure was treated before leaving the team. Watched the WCE days and thought that they would eventually get us back to final but that never happened. The Sedins came along and they looked unstoppable until that fateful summer of 2011. I really didn't see anything lingering which would affect the Sedins performance in 2011. I wished I did because I could also say "see they were injured and that's what happened" and then I could say next year will be different. The problem is that we never came close to that again and now we are in the midst of another "changing of the guard" so to speak. I did notice though that injuries sure affected how Ehrhoff and Kessler played as the series went on. So that's my opinion, I may be wrong, but I am a fan through and through and wish nothing better then for this team to assemble whatever team necessary to win a Stanley Cup. I just think that recreating 2011's team to a T would not be beneficial in the long run and improving on that team would be the smarter move. Yet half your posts belittle the other opinion and this other half make it sound like you appreciate there are other perspectives. I guess you are playing a game - which is your call and best of luck with it. To me, if the Canucks in the future can replicate 2011 and get to a one game take all, take that 10 times out of 10. oldnews
Henrik gets run over by Dustin Brown 2 minutes into the 2nd period of game 3. Canucks down 2 games to none in the series. Daniel not playing courtesy of a Duncan Keith elbow. Henrik comes back and plays 22:50 of ice time that night. Canucks outshoot LA 41-20 - lose 1-0 as Quick stands on his head. Daniel returns the next game and the Canucks win game 4 of the series. “The difference was 22 [Daniel] and 33’s [Henrik] performance" Kings head coach Darryl Sutter said. But - the Sedins are "soft". This, against the emergent stereotype of "heavy" playoff teams - the Kings - a team that the Sedins had spent the former half decade dominating. The Kings won game 5 of that series in OT after tying it 1-1 with 3 minutes remaining on a Brad Richardson goal. But, some people hindsight that team - a team that had the Sedins, Kesler, Burrows, Higgins, Hansen, Malhotra - in their primes - Hamhuis, Edler, Salo, Bieksa, Tanev - Schneider and Luongo - as if they should have already embarked upon a tear down rebuild... Sweathog
The 2011 Canucks were a good team, but I'd take the '94 team over them any day of the week.

Bryzgalov: "There's no such thing. You can't just add paprika." I didn't make it, I found a goalie pic in a hockey search and posted it. The rest is coincidence. I think we all would. Personally though I'd prefer the Canucks to clinch a cup some day in less than the maximum 7 games. Show some killer instinct and leave nothing to chance.
