Weber's contract's term made it an albatross. Not the cap.

Term is 4 years longer than PKs?

What's the big deal though? Weber will develop a skin allergy and is forced to retire by 39 years old. Meanwhile he's finished his 14 and 12 million dollar years. Kudos to his agent for finding him that offer sheet...

Or maybe he'll cross the border with painkillers and have his contract terminated?

Solid signing and some potential to even be better down the road. Dorsett's contract should have been closer to this. Maybe 500k AAV more.

It was apollo - when Dorsett was a 25 yr old RFA ;).  Welcome to Earning It.

Good deal but not what they expected when they drafted him.   He's 18th overall in 2010 and they thought they had a future top-6 power-forward.  He's now looking to be more of a defensive specialist who brings sandpaper.

Also good on Watson for taking charge - Laviolette gave him that advice when he put him through waivers in October.  They felt he was playing too tentative.  He got recalled two weeks later and has earned his spot ever since.
