Where's Wellwood
https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/canucks-re-sign-reid-boucher/c-290490134 Quote Vancouver, BC - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has re-signed centre Reid Boucher to a one-year, one-way contract at $687,500. Boucher, 23, split the 2016.17 season between Vancouver (5-2-7 in 27 games), Nashville (1-0-1 in three games) and New Jersey (0-2-2 in nine games). Boucher led the Canucks in shots on goal per 60 minutes (9.26) and established a career high for most goals in a game (two on March 25 at Minnesota). He also appeared in his 100th career game on March 16 versus Dallas. Boucher has appeared in 112 career NHL games, recording 37 points (17-20-37) and 18 penalty minutes. He has also suited up in 169 American Hockey League games posting 110 points (63-47-110). The East Lansing, Michigan native has represented the United States at the 2011 U18 World Championships and the 2010 World U17 Hockey Challenge, winning gold on both occasions. A U.S. National Development Team member from 2009-11, Boucher played two seasons with the OHL's Sarnia Sting from 2011-13, leading the league in goals and being named an OHL First-Team All-Star in 2012.13. The 5'10", 195-pound centre first became a Canuck when he was claimed off waivers from New Jersey on January 4, 2017. Boucher was originally selected by New Jersey in the fourth round, 99th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

He showed a lot of promise last year and by all accounts wasn't in the best shape so I'm excited to see what his does this season.

Warhippy
I like this. He's young. Can skate. Will work under Green I hope and at a great price The best is knowing with the hour of wingers/d we have is that you KNOW trades are coming. Like the anticipation days before Christmas

That wrist shot of his really is something else This^ ---- Sounds like Vancouver settled, so it's likely a one-way. He'll have to make the team out of camp, as it looks like we'll have 16 forwards on one-way deals.
King Heffy
Low risk, decent upside. Another body keeping Megna in the AHL where he belongs is always welcome.
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
LOL that got me laughing haha...but good money for a one way deal. Good got negotiations of Chaput and Boucher out of the way....now sign Bo...
DownUndaCanuck
Pretty cheap, low risk high reward. This guy could easily score 15-20 goals if given prime minutes.
Harvey Specter
Good contract amount and length. Should be an entertaining training camp with all of the players fighting for roster spots.
pluralsight
Boucher - Chaput - Megna would be a good first line for Utica. Good depth signing.
Burnt Gravy
I don't know how one could possibly complain about this. 1 way/ 2 way. Who cares? Worse case scenario we lose him the same way we got him.

mpt
Let's see what he can do. Only 3 things left this offseason. Horvat, Guance and of course Jagr
-Vintage Canuck-
Nice to see both sides coming to an agreement to avoid arbitration. Training camp this year is going to be fun. There are a lot of bottom-six forwards in the mix, plus potentially more guys on PTO's. It will be interesting to see how well prepared the players show up to training camp, and the tough decisions the Canucks will elect to make.
