Gadjovich ahead of Virtanen, come on man...

Gadjovich draft year stats-

60 games played- 46 goals- 28 assists- 74 points

Virtanen draft year + 1 stats-

50 games played- 21 goals- 31 assists- 52 points

Certainly not that unrealistic to have Gadj ahead of Virt.

Was Gadjovich drafted in the top ten?

Has Gadjovich proven anything Virtanen hasn't?

Reality check, Virtanen is and will be better and most people think so hense him being ranked higher as a prospect by CDC .

So yes at this point it is unrealistic to have Radj ahead of Virt.

DiPietro but I think he's gonna run away with this one. So the question is who is next?

I would say Philip Holm.  He could surprise a lot of people at training camp this year.  He has been playing in the SHL Swedish Elite league for 3 years. I would rank him even higher than Andrey Pedan.

Would Virtanen have been drafted in the top ten had the other GMs known how his career would go thus far?

He's proven he can be more than a point a game player in the CHL, so yes.

Reality check. Virtanen has completely underperformed thus far as a Canuck. Failed to improve in his draft +1 year in Junior. Failed to stick in the NHL. Failed to show up to last years training camp in shape. Failed to put up any numbers in the AHL, despite already having a season in the NHL under his belt.

Nope.

Not sure what being drafted top ten has to do with anything, unless both were drafted in the same year and neither has played their draft year +1 yet. Any idea how many flubs have come from top 10 picks before?? Hint -

Spoiler

A LOT

Gadjovich has not proven anything over Virt yet. Virt has proven that he can have a much worse draft year +1 then Gadjovich had during his draft year. He also proved he can have a lackluster start to his pro career, he has that over Gadjovich as well.

As for your reality check. 1: At this very moment in time, yes, Virtanen is probably a better player then Gadjovich, being older and have pro games under his belt.

2: Will be better in the future? That's some crystal ball you got there, would you mind giving me the lotto numbers for next week?

3: Using "Most people think so" is usually a sign that you don't have a very valid argument if you have to fall back on that, only slightly above "My dad can beat up your dad".

but what do i know

i would have put gadjovich ahead of virtanen

If it were down to me, Virtanen wouldn't be in the top ten. I'm sure after this season he'll roar back up the charts, but right now? He should be much further down the list.

At least we are even arguing this. 2 years ago we had nothing. I like both these guys on the team in the near future, giving us some grease.
